I'll just give a summary of my dreams. They could include any and everything. Mainly, to be satisfied with my life. Which includes acquiring everything that I work hard for. Along with learning at least one Romance language, including living in said country for 'x' amount of time. And somewhere down the line learning how to play two instruments. But, most importantly, to love unconditionally, and to be loved unconditionally. Your life is the sum result of all the choices you made. If you can control the process of choosing, you can control your life. I choose to be on the path to success. I choose to surround myself with others on that same path. I choose to not become detoured nor deferred. I do think of Hughes’ poem, and how common it is amongst our communities to have dreams deferred every day. So many of us think ‘who am I to dare to dream?’ When in reality, who are you not? The power is within all of us, controlled by what we think and how we speak. This I know, which is why my dreams are becoming my reality. With that comes a sense of responsibility along with obligation to inform those whether child or adult, who would not know otherwise. For we all know that faith without works is dead. Be blessed, and speak life.
