DECISIONS

I have met and know many people in my life who say to me, "I need a change in my life. I am unhappy. I am miserable." And, what do they do to make a change? Nothing. Let squirrels be a lesson to you. Living life in limbo is standing still. If you are going to cross the road, then cross it. If not, than stand there on the side of the road - still and motionless - until you are ready to cross. It`s your choice. What`s my point? Make a decision, move forward and don`t look back. Learn a lesson from the squirrels lying lifeless in the middle of the road. Where did it get them?

EXCUSES

An explanation as to why we do not choose to do something. But, is it really an explanation or is it a justification? A way to talk yourself out of doing something? The more people I converse with, the more I discover how excuses rule peoples lives. If you don't want to do something, then simply don't and if you feel the need to tell someone, then simply state to them - "I don't want to do it." There is no need to justify, or what some people think they are doing, explaining, why you are not going to do something. Your justification is to make you feel better - to give you the illusion of comfort as to why you are not doing something. What do you think? A person who makes excuses is weak? Lazy? Not a go getter? Settles in life? Has fears and cannot face them? Excuses are not progression nor are they advancement. They keep you standing still. Heck, you are making more progress by stating you simply don't want to do something as opposed to making an excuse. How so? Stating you simply don't want to do something is a decision. You can now move forward. Excuses are not decisions. They are justifications - tricks into telling yourself you are moving forward, but the truth is - you are not.
