Time will tell what the historic election of Barack Obama means for adults like me, but I already know what it means for our children. It means that they can dream bigger, reach higher, and achieve whatever they can conceive as Americans. That's why I took my son into the voting booth with me on November 4th.

AS THE father of a 16-year-old daughter, I've spent countless hours wishing that I had hair to pull out. Unfortunately, I started balding years ago and shaved my head. When I did, I discovered, quite by accident, that chicks dig the baldy.

This isn't about my Milk Dud haircut, though. It's about parenting a teen - an inexact science that's sort of like eating pork and beans. It can be sweet and satisfying going in. But if it comes out the wrong way, it stinks.
