How WE gonna SAVE the BABIES? 

2011 is upon US and many people will be making RESOLUTIONS

...that we will NEVER keep.

This year instead of resolutions, that for some will be BROKEN just as fast as they can be SPOKEN,  I suggest that WE all make a life long PLEDGE.

I see the DIRECTION that the World is headed in...and I don't like it.   Frankly it SCARES the SHlT outta me! 

I know that I can't be the ONLY one?

For anyone reading this who has ever thought:

 - What happened to "The GOOD Ol' Days?

- These KIDS out here are CRAZY!

- What'sa matta with the WORLD 2day?

- How can I make a DIFFERENCE?

...Join me in saying

"Save the CHILDREN...Save the WORLD"  

When I say...

"SAVE the CHILDREN...SAVE the WORLD"

I am not talking about the..."29cents a Day"...throw some pocket CHANGE at a charity kinda thing.  I'm talking about the kinda CHANGE that starts in our HOMES. 

Get your KIDS off the COUCH

• Take the POWER CORDS & BATTERIES away

• Make them go OUTSIDE and PLAY 

...AND

• Get Out There & PLAY with THEM!

Do YOU remember when all WE needed good time was some:

Chalk, Jax, a Jump Rope and a BALL?

Expose them to the ARTS...EARLY & OFTEN

• Reading
• Creative Writting
• Drawing
• Painting
• Sculpture
• Building

&

• MUSIC

- Speaking of MUSIC...Do YOU remember a time when you could turn on some FREE RADIO and it was ALL about:

• Love
• Pain
• Artistic Expression

&

• Uplifting Our People

As oppose to...

• Money
• Hoes
• Sex
• Cars

&

• Clothes

?????????????????

START in the HOME but don't let it STOP there.  As a people WE, gotta get back to EMBODYING the phrase...

It TAKES a VILLAGE

When YOU and your KIDS go outside to do something CONSTRUCTIVE

Start knockin on doors and when someone answers the door, say something like...

...HEY, you got some KIDS in there?

Cause me and THESE ONES right here are about to go

• Paint a MURAL at the Reg Center

- OR -

• Get in the field and PLAY some Kick-Ball

...Tell 'Em C'mon!!!

START in your HOME...then spread it thoughout your Neighborhood/CITY

&

Keep it GOING...til you find some other like minded individuals to Team-Up with and find a way to keep it SPREADING

...until WE change the COUNTRY!

In closing let me reiterate that I am SCARED of the direction WE are headed in.  I got my BABIES (the oldest of which is in her Sophmore year in Collage), but what about THEIR babies...

...and the GENORATIONS to come?

If WE don't do something to CHANGE the course of our DESTINY...our Great Grand Babies may very well be living in a World that much more resembles,

Than it does 

'The GOOD Ol' Days'

WE have the INTERNET now.  I will admit that I am GUILTY of the question that I am about to pose to YOU.

-BUT- 

...WHEN are we gonna use this very POWERFUL tool known as the INTERNET for more than:

• Entertainment
• Looking at Pretty People 

&

• Talkin' SHlT

...???

I don't know EXACTLY how WE are gonna DO IT, but I DO know a coupla thangs:

1. WE gotta open up the DIALOG...and at least TRY
2. WE will NEVER save the BABIES til WE make it

...COOL...

to DO the RIGHT thing!
