Michael Bivins, also known as 'Sporty Rich' is one of the founding members of the Supergroups New Edition & Bell Biv DeVoe (BBD). In 1983 New Edition took the world by storm with their debut single "Candy Girl" and the hits have continued for the last 24 years and still counting.
In 1990 Mike Bivins and fellow NE members Ricky Bell and Ronnie DeVoe collaborated as Bell Biv DeVoe (BBD) and set the music industry on fire with their debut album "Poison" selling over 5 million copies. As one of the youngest and hottest talents going, CEO Michael Bivins branched out to form his own company Biv10 Records and in 1991 began introducing the world to chart-topping artists that eventually included Boys II Men, 702, ABC & MC Brains, just to name a few.
In addition to his musical talent, Michael Bivins is recognized throughout the entertainment industry for his business savvy. This Music Industry Executive is preparing once again to bring his entreprenual spirit to the forefront in 2007 with his NEW Business Venture. In addition, Mike has joined with MTV as a Consultant for the 2007 Season of P. Diddy's Making The Band IV Television Show. Mike is traveling to Nationwide Casting Calls as one of the judges selecting the cast for the new season. Looking back on his illustrous career, who better for this role.
