Sean Stiles was born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 28, 1976. He was born to an African American mother and a Trinidadian father. Sean would only spend the first 13 years of his life as a resident in Philly. His family relocated to New Jersey and this would be the move that would mold the rest of his life.
Now residing in New Jersey, Sean developed a serious love for the art of music. He even started taking violin and saxophone lessons. Neither one of these instruments would hold his attention. He actually hated playing both. He found that his real passion was in the art of rhyming and poetry. He recorded his first rhyme at the age of 13; it was to an industry instrumental from KMD. This propelled him into composing his own music and to lay down vocals on some school affiliated projects and assemblies. During this time he tried to have a home with a few local groups but could not find the right chemistry with anyone. However, he did find another love and that was radio broadcasting. From 1994 until today Sean has broadcasted on two college stations, one in Wilkes-Barre, PA and the other, WRSU Rutgers, New Brunswick.
Sean, through good fortune, met E-Class (Versatile Crew) and he helped Sean realize what he wanted to do behind the scenes in the music industry. Sean eventually invited E-Class and the Versatile Crew to come down to the radio station and spit a few rhymes and afterward attend an open mic at a local spot. Sean had another chance meeting that night; he met Rica Brasi
Early in 2003 another bad chemistry blend with Sean and the local group Dirty Offense was coming to an end. Sean would find himself solo again. He hasn't looked back since and has formedStiles Blak Management to manageSmoov Jail House and others.
Sean credits his influences to: Slick Rick, KMD, Brand Nubian, De La Soul and Gangstarr. His Business influences tp: Russell Simmons, Andre Harrell and Berry Gordy.
