I have learned in the last four years since my son was born, that life is fantastic!! Never have I enjoyed simple things as much as I do watching him sing and laugh, or listening to him read a book. I'm in love and wrapped around his cute little finger... and I'm not afraind to admit it! :)
Round 2:
I am totally digging getting A's. After getting laid off from my corporate job, I decided to return to college and finish my degree. After two terms of earning all A's, I can honestly say, "I LOVE SCHOOL!" I have a much greater appreciation for it than I ever had before, and am totally enjoying it!
Round 3:
OK... My 4 year old began kindergarten this week. Man, time is flying by. He's growing so fast! It still seems like it was just last month that I was bringing him home from the hospital, cradling his little body in my arms and singing to him. I miss those days! But I wouldn't trade anything I have now. He is the absolute best thing that has ever happened to me!!!
Round 4:
OK... I know that it's been a while since my last update, but I've been swamped. Spring semester began a couple of weeks ago and I have a full schedule this term - that means a lot more studying and a lot less time for the laptop. Anyway, I've been talking to a new friend here at BP and in discussing ways we have fun as single parents (and having to force fun into life) some thoughts popped into my head that I decided to share. Here is an excerpt from a note I sent:
"I began looking for the fun in all the daily things going on and found I was having a lot more fun than I thought. I found fun and joy in the time I spent with the lil dude, and the more he did, the less I had to "search" for the fun. Then I realized it was right there in front of my face the WHOLE time. Now, every day is like watching a Tom & Jerry marathon. There's so much joy in loving them... these little people we have been trusted to care for. I never knew it would feel like this." And the truth is... I didn't know I could love someone (other than myself) as much as I love my son! Like I told my new friend, I'm not that deep... It's just that now, I finally know what it means to love someone unconditionally and to have that love returned... IT IS AWESOME!!! I mean, look at this guy:
Round 5: What's up BP? I'm trying to stay on top of this thing, but my math class is kicking my tail... Anyone know a good tutor in SoCal? LOL! No... really... I need a tutor! :) * * * * * * * * * * CONTENT DELETED * * * * * * * * * * I think I have my own personal 5 year old Eddie Murphy in the house (minus the curse words - cause I'll rip his little tail otherwise, LOL!). This kid has me falling out of my seat with some new, hysterical thing EVERY single day. We were sitting in my mom's room and his shoe was untied. My mom asked him why he hadn't tied his shoe and he said, "because it is not in my job description." We all fell out of our chairs. I love listening to him come up with stuff out of the blue. I'm in such a happy place these days, it's easy to forget the bad things from the past... Hopefully, no one will bring them back up! :)

Round 6:
I am really struggling with this math class... I'm not giving up, but MAN, is it hard! My baby began a new school last week (securing his spot for first grade), and he really seems to be happy there. I'll give him another week or so and see how he's doing then.
