Hello all that is taking the time out to view my page and actually reading. (lol) I am taking this time to tell you all a little bit about me. When I was 14 I was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis. Transverse Myelitis affects people in different ways, for me it only affects my legs and nothing else. I am not able to do any walking right now, but will be able to do so very soon. I say soon because that's something that I am working on, and I know exactly what I need to do in order to get to that point. Me being in this wheelchair has not changed anything, I am still the same person I was just older and much wiser. The only thing it has changed is the fact that I am sitting down more. I am very much so independant, meaning I do things for myself by myself. Not saying that I am too proud to ask for help, its just that I have always been like that. If you take the time out to get to actually know me, you will see that I am a person that's easy to get along with and that I always have a smile on my face. I have no reason to be sad, because when this illness first came about it began to affect my breathing. What I am trying to say is that I wasn't suppose to make it out of the surgery that I had, but the Lord had something else in store for me. I am not here on Blackplanet trying to get people to feel sorry for me, THAT IS A PET PEEVE OF MINE. If I dont feel sorry for myself, then I honestly dont want you to feel sorry for me. There are times when I tell people (online) about me, some tend to hang in there and others tend to run the other way as if what I have is contagious. I do not let this wheelchair hold me back. The things I used to do, I live life to the fullest. Now that I have taken the time out to tell you more about me please feel free to send me a note if you may have any questions. I do not mind answering any questions that you all may have. Do not be afraid to ask questions I dont bite. I am a people person I enjoy meeting and greeting with new people.
