Questions on Clinton's Health Plan

Posted

There has been a lot of focus on Obama's and Clinton's health plans. I think I have all the information on Obama's but there seems to be some questions that no one, especially Hillary, is answering about the Clinton plan.

First of all she says that everyone will be covered but there is no way everyone can be covered because there is no way to make everyone pay their health premium. Sure if you have a job that doesn't pay you under that counter, you will have to pay but if you get paid... (continue reading)

CONTINUED DISCUSSION OF DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES

Posted

Thank you to all that have submitted comments on my blog regarding the candidates. In the three comments on this subject, there seems to be three totally different views on this extremely tough decision. One outlines the point that under it all we hate president Bush. Another comment puts infront of us that Hillary has more experience than Obama and seems to have a better agenda for us. The third point out there is that there are more candidates then just Clinton and Obama. It is true that there... (continue reading)

Memories of a Father

Striving to be a man.

(Memories of a father)

Amoungst all the cliche attitutes about black men today, whether justified or not, there is still a fair share of our community that has hope, faith and confidence that the black man is still a pillar and source of strenght within the black families that are whole.

I am still searching for a family of my own to be just that, a source of strenght and guidence to those that... (continue reading)

KANYE VS 50 Cent

Posted

Both Kanye West and 50 Cent have released new projects this month. In review of both I can see that one, kanye, has shown some growth in his skills and his personal outlook on life. He has five positive message tracks on the project, two tracks about nothing two about women and four about himself. He wouldn't be Kanye without talking about himself now would he. I find the project to be nice and true to hip hop culture.

On the other hand, 50 Cent has a project that... (continue reading)

The Cotton People

Hand me down the burden of cut hands and sun beaten brow. Allow me to walk barefoot thru thorns and thicket. Deprave me the drink to quench my thirst and soothe my throat. Force me to my feet when I'm full of cold and sickness. Scar my back when my honor steps forth. Steal away my father and mother and make me bury my own brothers. Rape my sister then punish her for baring your young. Feed me scraps when it's of your heart and silence our... (continue reading)

Update "House has been Sold!!" One year ago I purchased a house on the near eastside of downtown Columbus. I did this because I wanted to be a participant in trying to build up one of our historically black neighborhoods. The mayor of the city has and is putting alot of effort and resources to bring black communities to the forefront of columbus business and social scenes. The street I live on has been rebuilt with new homes and condos. I am very pleased with the location and promise of making this area a strong, positive neighborhood. In continueing with trying to do my part of keeping this effort going I am posting a link to a brand new house in hopes of bringing another positive black family to this area. If you are at all interested in this new home or one of the other new homes that are planned to be built in this neighborhood, please let me know with a message and I will give you the info to get intouch with the builders. Thankyou and be blessed.

Past Tense

Here on this day, I remember my mother and father and all those that are bound to their creation. Every man, woman and child that was raised to honor those before them. All those that were raised to provide to those after. One house and home to shelter all that need the warmth within. The blessings that kept the fire lit and let the bread rise. All that could be done for family was done then. Even as our fathers were sold off into slavery, family remained to prosper. Today our fathers leave their children at their own free will and all suffer for it. Our mothers, who with blistered hands and feet, burned their backs and boroughs on the sun. Craddled their children and raised Kings and conductors of them. Today our mothers have forgotten their children and teach them to give into the temptations of their genders. Rise up and claim back the respect of your young, the young of yours are the young of mine. Rise up and claim back the respect of your mothers and fathers. On this day claim back the special place in history that we held for it's never past tense. Let us create history and not let the results of history create us.
