Agape Love


We all know there are different kinds of love. "I love ice cream," "I loved that movie," "I love you, mom," "I love you, will you marry me?"

We use and abuse the word LOVE quite a bit. In the Greek language they help out by being a bit more precise. They have several words for love based on what kind of it you are talking about. The word used for God`s love toward us is described as "Agape." This is the kind of love that is unconditional; it is not based on whether you love back or even acknowledge God.

God`s "agape" love is simply out of this world. As human beings it doesn`t make sense to us that someone would loveus that way, AND that much. And yet, as human beings, we hope very much that it is true because we long to be loved just for ourselves.

Even if we are fat or ugly. Even if we tell lies or steal things. Even if no one else IN THIS WORLD loves us and we don`t even like ourselves.
Well, it is true; God loves us unconditionally.

Is there anything that can separate us from God`s love? No, nothing. The Bible says:

"I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38)

Stop trying to figure it out. Stop fighting it or feeling unworthy of it. Start receiving it. Start enjoying it. Start smiling about it.

God loves you. Agape loves you! Remember THIS everyday.

A little about me:

I am a professional, non-involved brown-skin with long dreadlocks & 5`6. I've recently broke up from a long term relationship and I am just taking things slow and enjoying my life right now. I love sports My Favorite BASKETBALL of course. I`m not into labels nor do I want to be in a "box" I am a woman I`m assertive and I can be passive I`m who I am.. that is the best way to explain me. I like to be comfortable and so in that aspect if I`m at a club (which is rare) I lean more to the "tomboyish" side in some ways but I am also a lady in many ways too. I can appreciate all people so I expect the same in return.

Likes: Honesty, loving, mature people who are not afraid to be expressive about who they are and what they want. I love confidence and self-respect. Hugs for no reason, quite times at home looking at TV and making love. I love a natural beauty. Non- superficial and non-materialist people. I love the "cornballs" and the geeks.. Originality is Key! I like a text page just to say .."I love you and I was thinking about you". IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS.

Dislikes:
Crazy baldheads, High Maintenance, DRUG USERS, Con-artist, people who take advantage of a person just because they feel they can. "gold-diggers" - - Lazy, users, and negativity. A person who is afraid to be loved without all the DRAMA. I DO NOT LIKE OR DEAL WITH Liars and Cheats. In the past I have experienced all these issues in a woman and it`s not FUN. I`ve grown and I have learned & still learning from my mistakes. Groups and Clicks. CONFUSED WOMEN.

Don`t let anyone use you and if they try let them have their way and then make peace and leave. Never doubt that God will take care of them and expose them to the error of their ways. There is nothing you will have to do but to move on and continue praising JAH!

You have to treat people how you want to be treated. Remember the Golden Rule.

A little more about me:

I have recently brought my FIRST HOME this summer and I'm going for a promotion in 2009. God is GOOD. I recieved my B.S. on May 25, 2003 in Psychology. I plan to work on my PH.D and Masters in the near future after a career in Acquistion and Procurement for a few years..
I`m going back to school next year for my BS in Business Administration.

Just remember God is in control and don`t let anyone take YOUR JOY.
