Here's a little about me...
I'm originally from Houston, Tx and was relocated here by my job in the chemical industry. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade.
I stand at 5'10" and weigh in at 247 pounds (ouch! It's all that cajun food I love!) I weighed 228 when I first got here so it looks like a gym membership is in my immediate future! lol!
*Haha! I got a gym memebership and now I'm back down to 234 and falling. I'd love to get to around 200 pounds...so I guess I need to keep up the good work!*
For hobbies, I love to write! I just completed a novel sized piece that I'm trying to shop around to various agencies. I'm not too good at writing query letters so I'm piling up rejections! My novel is about a couple of spies who get exposed while on assignment. It's kinda like the saga that's been unfolding on the hill except my story focuses on what happens to the agents.
I also love reading, travel, and meeting new people!
In my recent travels I came across an interesting document. I found a sales receipt from an actual slave purchase back in 1820! It amazes me that a little over 180 years ago our people could be purchased for $1,000! I put a copy of it down below as a reminder of how far we've come as a people and how far we need to go...
