What up, B P ?

Welcome to my page. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is J.Carter, but I'm also known by various aliases such as tha mystro, Hardhitta, Carter, and Tha Hitmaka. I am a 23 y/o, intellectually adept, business-minded young brotha with a knack for music. Talent? Born with it, blessed with it and thankful for it. An aspiring Musician/Singer/Songwriter/Lyr icist/Producer looking to make a name for myself.. I've been composing original material since the age of 12 and had produced multiple underground albums/ songs by the time I'd reached my 21st Birthday.

I got my start, like many young black musicians in church playing keys mainly and experimenting with a few others like drums. (I'm in the process of learning guitar) I was brought up on REAL music. I'm talking O-Jays, Tempts, EWF, AWB, G.A.P., Zapp (R.i.P. Roger), George Duke, Parliment-Funkadelic, JB, Maze, Bar-kays, Ohio Players,Faze-O, Cameo, Rick James, Mary Jane Girls, and SCB, Rufus & Chaka Khan ( was playin Ain't nobody verbatim at age 11 on keys), Stevie Wonder,Tom Brown, S.O.S Band ( Don't stop the music) Isley Brothers, The TyME and many more.

On the new school side of things, I grew up studying the sounds of Q, Dr. Dre, Warren G, Quik, DAZ, Battlecat,Jazzy Jeff, Jermaine Dupri, Mannie Fresh, Digital Underground,Traxster, Static Major( R.i.P), Timbaland, Pimp C(RIP), Too$hort, Dj.Paul and Juicy J.,JMJ(RIP), Organized Noise ( classic ATL sound), Jazze Pha, Devante Swing and Mr. Dalvin, Teddy Riley, & Roger Jr(RIP). Each have brought something unique to the table in terms of music and are the ones whom I respect the most in the industry.

My goal, is to one day be remembered as an influential figure in the history of black music, To leave behind a legacy in sound that will be hard to forget. God gave me the gift of music and I want to share mine with the world. One day at a time & one accomplishment at a time, I intend to achieve nothing shorter than excellence..

My purpose at this site is to not only meet new people, but to also network and make strides in my career. So If you are interested in music production or just looking for a down to earth, helpful, level-headed, intelligent person to converse with, don't hesitate to drop a note or send an invite. Always eager and happy to form new friendships. One note though: Check the negativity and hatred at the door. No need for that because there's too much in this world already. Respect yields respect.
