THE 2009 circuit is coming a month earlier. When you go to the booth, don't leave your conscience and mind outside. Regardless who wins, the United States as we once knew, will never be the same. The changes that are coming will nationally be equal to 9/11 and the civil rights movement,of the 60's combined. Some of your may already be aware, that despite the public expression of support for Barack Obama, there are groups and individuals who are strongly against his leadership for a variety of reasons. In addition, there are people who feel African Americans in general have contributed to the failing economy by bleeding social welfare programs by not exercising better birth control practices and bad eating habits that have resulted in their poor health making them unemployable and more dependent on public assistance and medicaid. The extent of the retribution from these entities will challenge American ideals and loyalty to America. In order to keep a clear prospective we must soberly look at what is the actual current status of the military, international relations, national defense and security, employment, living wages, education, economics, housing, health care,law enforcement and immigration. Some may believe that these choices are out of out hands and that "folks gonna do what they have always do". NO this time, it won't be business as usual by a long shot. If you understand the importance of unifying and organizing, you know that your input is crucial and not optional. Stop and think before you lash out at others, their struggle is your struggle too. Make the time to show children and your elders you love them , that you value them. Show them by example. There is nothing wrong with starting and ending your day with a hug and a prayer.
