Hi and God Bless U for visiting my humble page. I`m Tony C. of
Atlanta, Ga., and I`m a lay minister, counselor and free-lance
photographer. I enjoy meeting new people, and I hope to make some
good friendships here on the Planet. I don`t discriminate as to
color for we all can share in God`s Blessings, smile. As of June
18, 2004 I`m married to the most wonderful Lady of God, the former
Gayla K. of Savannah, that He`s provided for me, praise Him!!
Together we`ll serve Him faithfully sharing His luv and Word with
the people who we meet.

SOULFOOD "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:31, 33 Have you ever watched a squirrel search for food? I have the opportunity to do so every morning, for I have two large oak trees on my property. In the backyard I have an empty doghouse, some lawn furniture, a clothesline and some 5 gallon buckets. To look at them you wouldn`t think that any of these items would be a source of food. But in its need to provide for its present and future needs, the squirrel will hunt high and low to meet those needs. I`ve seen them scurry around and through the doghouse, over and under the lawn furniture, look inside the clothesline poles and even run around the rim of the empty buckets before diving inside. The thing that sticks out in my mind about all of this is how diligent, persistent and complete their search for food is. The Bible says that we should bejust as diligent in our search for His truth and wisdom in His Word, for there will we find what we need to satisfy our needs. We won`t find it in the nightclubs and bars, stadiums and gyms, astrology and psychics, movies, TV and ungodly music. We have to submit ourselves to Him through Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and to devote time to Bible Study, prayer and church attendance to fulfill the hunger in our soulsfor righteousness. Only then will the search for true "soul food" be complete. Prayer: Heavenly Father I ask you to give me the food my soul needs to grow strong and tall in your Kingdom. Fill me with the fruits of the Holy Spirit and the meat that`s found in your Word. Let the latter rain of righteousness fall on me to quench my thirst. Nourish me completely, for you are the only source I need. In Jesus` Name I pray, Amen. ------------------------------ ------------------------------ ------------ THE BEST DEAL OF ALL I was listening to a radio ad for an automobile, and the premise was that the customer was only obligated to just sign the contract and drive away without having to leave any collateral. But being skeptical as most consumers are these days, he wanted to leave his gold watch with the salesman, who politely refused and told him he didn`t need to do anything like that. Not listening, he continues to offer things he feels are worthy of the deal, such as a scan of his retina. The salesman patiently tries to tell him that there`s nothing he can give that would equal the good deal that he got. By this time the customer is totally frustrated, so he offers his children, and once again the salesman refused. Do you see any similarity with a deal that`s been offered for 2,000 years? I know a Man who loved the people of the world so much that He wanted to give them the desires of their heart and He only asked for their loyalty and service to Him in return, not a bad deal if you ask me. But the people didn`t want to serve Him, they just wanted to receive His Blessings. He sent several people to perform great feats for the people`s benefit, and for a while the people served Him, but they soon returned to their own selfish ways. This went on for thousands of years, even delivering the people from bondage several times, only to see the people become stubborn and hard-hearted towards Him time and time again. The people even killed a few of His messengers, and seeing how evilthey had become the Man thoughtto send His only Son believing they would surely listen to Him. The Son said all you have to do is to follow my teachings and not only receive Blessings in this life, but be granted eternal life and be given a mansion in the New Jerusalem with the Man. But the people, being as treacherous as they had become, said let`s do away with the Son and take the Blessings for ourselves. They killed the Son and believed they had done a good thing, but they soon found out that they had done the wrong thing. The people thought that by killing the Son the Man would leave them to their own base desires, but He used it for the good of all mankind. By using the shed Blood of the Son, He said that if you will believe that the Son died for the good of all I will give you the best deal of all - to wipe away the sins they had committed - without having to give anything but their willingness to follow His teachings and submit to His will for their lives. Not any money or goods or property, but their heartfelt love of the Son would be payment enough to receive all that He has to give. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God,who suffered on the cross for my sins. He went to hell and defeated satan, and on the third day was raised from the dead. He ascended to Heaven and is seated at Your right hand: praying for me to have life, and to have it more abundantly. This day, I give my life and all that I have to You. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Now, I ask Him to come into my heart and make me new. In the Name of Jesus I pray, Amen. |
