personal message

I am a LTJG in the United States Public Health Service; I'm in NAVY
uniform but I'm proud to be USPHS! Right now I work for the Food
and Drug Administration as a Consumer Safety Officer. I played NCAA
College basketball for 3 years until I was partially paralyzed in
my right arm in a pick up game with my teammates. I am a sports nut
and competitive by nature...I LOVE TO HOOP, any challengers?!? I
model for The Brock Agency and I LOVE my agent Beverly! I LOVE
black people/culture BUT NOT the associated stereotypes. I am NOT
ghetto and a heads up...its a HUGE turnoff for me. Just because
you're from the ghetto doesn't mean you have to act like it. I am
independent and goal oriented. If you're one of those guys who are
threatened by an independent female such as myself save us both
some time and click on the pretty little "x" at the top of the
screen. I am a "good girl" but I'm far from perfect. I want a man
who isn't afraid to perform random acts of kindness even when he's
in a bad mood. A man who loves his family and one who doesn't nag
about spending quality time, not showing enough affection, etc. My
name is NOT Fantasia...I do not need a "hood boy"...I'd much rather
have a MAN... Not all men (especially black men) are dogs. Only
believe HALF of what you see and NOTHING you hear. Ladies, there
are still a lot of GOOD MEN out there so don't give up! AND, men
need a lot of the same things women need...Valentine's Day DOES
matter eventhough most men won't admit it. And men need just as
much affection as they THINK most women need. Everybody needs to
feel appreciated...And on a final note I want to say a few
things...Black people are one of God`s greatest creations and we
need to recognize that and do things which involve striving for and
maintaining unity in our family, community and race...One love!
CLASS DISMISSED ;-) Lauren~
