Connecting the Dots:
Futbol is a world wide sport. Notice I stated, "futbol", not football. Anyone can catch a ball with their hands, try your feet. Futbol brings together not only countries, but as well as rivals. I would love to see a movie on the futbol game between the Germans and English during WWII. Are any soldiers alive still alive who played that game? And who won? But, that is besides the point. The World Cup is this year, and their is one country that has the best futbol players, period. That is Mexico. From the University of Toulca to UNAM, Mexico is finally getting the recognition it deserve in not only in futbol, but in politics as well. Mexico recently joined the G-20, or the top 20 countires of the world. Some critics called it the G-19, because Mexican President Calderon postion is not being taken seriously. As a neighbor to the United States, it is the US that is not taking Mexico seriously. The policies of the US for the last century have created the problems we have today, from Iran, to Israel, from Boiliva, to China. Latin American countries are shifting to the left, or the Chinese, Russians, Middle East, because the US has always considered Latin America as a minor player in geo-politics, especially Mexico. Here's a question, what if not only the Chinese own our southern border, but the Middle East as well? NAFTA was supposed to create jobs for Mexico, but what happened? Because the minumum wage in Mexico is 7 dollars a day, and China is only a dollar, everything went to China. Also, PRI had some huge problems in the 1990's. I believe PRI can make a comeback.

Something to look at:
On Turkey
http://www.hurriyetdailynews.c om/n.php?n=from-the-bosphorus- straight-----the-u.s.-action-p lan-against-pkk-2010-02-08
From the Bosphorus: Straight - The US action plan against the PKK?
Monday, February 8, 2010
"Ankara hosted two important American security officials last week. The first was Ray Odierno, the United States? top officer in Iraq. U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates followed with a visit a few days later.
As expected, and as was covered by the Daily News, the two visits focused on ways to intensify the ongoing cooperation between Turkey and the U.S. in the fight against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers? Party, or PKK."
Question: What if northern Iraq, which is Kudish, starts its own Kurdish state? The Northern part of Iraq has the oil with low sulfur. Low sulfur? Easier to refine. Also, during the Bush administration, if you were a president of any country, and you supported the US, any of your oppisition would be considered "terrorists," and the US would fund you money. So, the PKK are considered terrorists. Why? Again, the Kurds run Northern Iraq, and if they can get it together, get the petroleum running, they will have money, power, respect. The question, how will they transport it, and who will finance it?
Question: 50 miles from any country is international waters. Mexico has oil, but does not have the technology to drill for it. Here's something: The oil Mexico has has been being being stolen from other countries that are outside the 50 mile international water marker. How much oil? And who was doing it?
Dos Santos, a Mexican darling
(FIFA.com) Friday 5 February 2010
The last two years have been particularly frenetic for Giovani dos Santos. Since leaving Barcelona for Tottenham Hotspur on the eve of the 2008/09 season, the Mexican forward has experienced his fair share of ups and downs, walking into the Spurs first team on his arrival and then falling out of favour when Harry Redknapp replaced Juande Ramos in the hot-seat.
Yet though his club fortunes took a dip, Dos Santos commendably maintained his international form, confirming his graduation from promising youngster to seasoned professional and cementing his place in the Mexico team.
With just six months to go before the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa? kicks off, and short of first-team opportunities at Tottenham, the Mexican decided to accept Galatasaray?s offer of a loan deal. The move to the Turkish capital has reunited him with Frank Rijkaard, his former coach at Barça, and his main incentive in joining the Istanbul giants was to get some regular playing time under his belt, a vital factor in his bid to aid the Tricolor cause in South Africa.

My point:
One of Mexico's best futbol players is now in Turkey. With the fall of the Greek economy, a long time rival of Turkey, (see my comments on http://www.blackplanet.com/WashingtonWatch/) will Turkey become more important to the US and Europe? Can Turkey now argue for acceptance into the European Union, since Greek entered the Euro without revealing it's massive debt?
Turkey connects Europe with Asia.

With Dos Santos in Turkey, how will Mexican futbol change?

"While Mary L. Schapiro, the chairwoman, is the public face of the commission, Mr. Khuzami and his lieutenants are the officers on the beat. Their first challenge is to shake off the psychic blow of the Madoff affair. Not since the 1950s, when budget cuts and deregulation defanged the commission, have its stature and influence sunk so low. Mr. Khuzami, a straight-talking former federal prosecutor and Wall Street executive, says he wants to infuse the S.E.C. with the ethos of a start-up company, making it faster, more proactive and even a bit entrepreneurial."
This is what President Barack Obama needs to announce in his speeches, not health care. Start telling the public he is going after those who robbed investors, banks, home owners, and pension plans. Problem is, the money buys politicians, don't believe me? Check out :

WASHINGTON?
Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey urged the Federal Reserve last July to approve an acquisition to save a struggling bank in his state. He didn't mention that the bank's chairman and vice chairman were big contributors to his political campaign.
On Toyota:

Make some money off of this-
Start short selling Toyota stock until it stops falling. Wait to see if the stock makes a base, then start purchasing Toyota stock again.

The Japanese culture does not like to recognize failure. Want proof? Ask them to show the result of WWII in their history books- it's not there. Because of this systematic denial of failure in their culture. it is that embedded, the CEO of Toyota tried not to take blame.

In a Message to Democrats, Wall St. Sends Cash to G.O.P.
David Kirkpatrik
"Just two years after Mr. Obama helped his party pull in record Wall Street contributions ? $89 million from the securities and investment business, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics ? some of his biggest supporters, like Mr. Dimon, have become the industry's chief lobbyists against his regulatory agenda.
Republicans are rushing to capitalize on what they call Wall Street's buyer's remorse? with the Democrats. And industry executives and lobbyists are warning Democrats that if Mr. Obama keeps attacking Wall Street's fat cats? they may fight back by withholding their cash. "
"I never wanted to be a politician, I wanted to buy one."
Dao-wei
Last week President Obama did something that the Republicans and the previous Bush Administration failed to do, recognize the sacrifices of the Central Intelligence Agency. Peep game:
http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOL ITICS/01/28/sotu.transcript/
"The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.
Our intelligence sources tell us that he has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes suitable for nuclear weapons production. "
Study this, because it is important. You really need to investigate it The result of this State of the Union is that the Central Intelligence Agency, (CIA), was blamed for the false intelligence, so where the Brits. This information, along with weapons of mass destruction, (WMD's) where fed to us, a scared public, by our "elected" Republican President George Bush II.
Why do you think the leaks of secret prisons where leaked? The Central Intelligence are, career, career government workers. A presidency only last 8 years at most, unless your Roosevelt.
My point?
Which President is actually more patriotic?
Which President should get financial support?
Last week, President Barak Obama sent military aid to Taiwan, which pissed off the Chinese government.
George Bush delayed sending aid until he was on his exit.
Which President took a stand against China?
Which President should get financial support?
Hedge funds should not get blamed, or short selling, CDO's, or CDS's, because they are good tools for investment.
If you listened to me last thursday and started short selling the Euro, you would be rich today.
What went wrong, is the previous presidential administration allowed the federal goverment to back loans to people who shouldn't have got loans, (toxic loans) and both Republicans and Democrats received huge kick backs from both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
The previous presidential administration let what we are going through, happen. But, President Barack Obama is president, so he has to take the responsibilty to clean the mess up. If he fails to, the Republicans will have an easy win in 2012.
On China-
The Chinese are started to go through what we were going through for the last decade, exponential growth. Read last Friday's IBD, and it will explain the housing bubble starting in China. If you invest now, now, in CHina, it would be a smart move. But be careful, we had a Madoff here that was ignored by the SEC. Now, how many Madoff's are in China, and because of the Communist government, will investors ever know exactly what is going on in China? Want to invest in China? Listen to the BBC nightly, and watch business China on your Dish provider. As soon as any of your stock goes below 5% of your buy point, ( the amount you paid for your stock) get out.
Watch for building material stocks, and car parts, especially ones that are replaced often.
(especially those who make CV joints, the roads are hard on axles in China)
What would you do if you made many? Buy a car.

Floyd Norris, the chief financial correspondent of The New York Times and The International Herald Tribune, covers the world of finance and economics.

Crumbling Europe?

The worry du jour is the Iberian peninsula ? Spain and Portugal. Greece is at least temporarily set aside. Watch for Ireland and Italy to join the list at some point.
The euro block may be solid at the core ? France, Germany, the Netherlands ? but it is vulnerable at the fringes. These countries are facing huge budget deficits and the difficulty of competing economically without devaluing their currency. If they had not joined the euro, the devaluations would have taken place some time ago. Now they cannot.
As yet, the talk of default is not really serious. Portuguese government bond spreads compared to German rates are up to 1.6 percentage points. But Portugal can still borrow at under 5 percent, which is not much of a rate if you really fear default.
But the euro core is facing a big decision. Assuming those countries will not let their brethren default, on what terms do they help out? How much political control do they demand? Cutting government spending during a recession is not exactly a route to popularity for a government. Nor is firing government workers or cutting salaries. There are no painless routes to increased competitiveness.
When the euro began, there were widespread forecasts it would eventually lead to something much closer to political union than Europe currently has. Some, who supported the euro, thought that was good because it would produce needed economic reforms. Others thought it was bad because it would damage national sovereignty. Both sides may yet be proved correct, but the process is unlikely to be pleasant.
Can the world economic recovery continue with a stumbling Europe? I think so, but today there is doubt, and share prices are down around the world

Do you recommend short selling the Euro because of the debt that is obviously rampant in the European economy?

Out the Greece, into the US?

Ok, by now you know who I am, and what I am arguing. Many may argue that I am anti-American, but I am a felon. I am no longer a citizen, a citizen of a country who's history is as questionable as mine. Manifest Destiny? The idea that our country was given the right by God, God, to control sea to shining sea, whatever the cost. The American Indian population now is less than 1%, the beginning of the Mormon religion, based of a drunk named John Smith, who receives two golden plates from an angel, which describes a war between a 2 races, a dark one, and a white one, the assasination of black civil rights leaders, King, X, Stokely, and now, the destruction of the world's financial markets with the invention of what I consider is a virus, a tranche.

What is the future?
Greece government is in financial trouble, and has been for some time. Much is due to corruption, which is not ever spoken about. But, secondly, it adopted the European Euro, without revealing how much debt it had. Why is this important? The question 2 months ago ws whether it was the next Dubai, specifically Dubai World.

With Greece imploding financially, the European Union and the world is watching...will this be a repeat of what happened to the baht a few years ago?

Who will bail out the Greeks?

The european Union?

Will Greece have to let go of the Euro, or be forced to?

What will that do the Euro?

The billion dollar question, how can President Barack Obama use this to his advantagge?
Basically, can this instability of the Euro, help the US and the dollar?

Is the same problem happening in China? Southern China's economy is tied heavily to the financial markets, where Northern China is toed to industry. Southern China is suffering, and will Northern China implode with it?

With Turkey trying to get into the European Union, will the failure of Greece, a long time rival, give it a platform to argue from on acceptance into the European Union?

Europe hates Turkey, for two reasons ...

The Ottamon Empire
Constantinople

Turkey used to run %#&@$!. When Rome fell to the barbarians from Germany, the center of the Catholic faith went to Turkey.

Turkey doesn't like the Kurds, who are their neighbors in Northern Iraq.
The Kurds, who where killed by chemical attacks, chemicals supplied to King Saddam Hussein by the US to fight Iran.

Iraq is split into three political and regional factions.

The Kurds have cleaner oil, because it contains less sulfur.
The Sunnis used to run %#&@$!, when King Saddam Hussein ws around.
The Shiites own the ports.

So, how do you get the low sulfur oil of the Kurds, to the Shiite controlled ports?

Oh yeah, Iran is Shiite.
Iraq used to have the ability to have nuclear power when a US supported Shah ran the country, then something happened in 1964.
The Shah was put into power by a CIA coup, so to show loyalty,
in 1964, all americans where given diplomatic immunity.

An American could rape or murder any Iranian without going to court.
That brought into the world Allahtolah Khomeini.

Iran, was once ran by Britain, who just raped the country for the oil.

BP?
British Petroleum.
After the destruction of Britain during WWII, the US came the central power in the Middle East, and the world.

Can the US do it again?
Can President Barack Obama do it?

Why have the Republicans said nothing about his stance against China by sending 6 billion in arms to Taiwan, at the beginning of his Presidential administration?

President George Bush showed weakness by arming Taiwan at the end of his Presidential term by shipping 8 billion worth of weapons there.

Walls and cabients in 120,000 trailers distributed by FEMA after Katrina were made from formaldehyde-containing particleboard. Soon after moving in, many residents reported respiratory problems resembling those associated with formaldehyde poisoning. At least 47,000 trailers are still being used.
In May of 2006, the Sierra Club tested 31 trailers in Louisiana and Mississipi. Only two had formaldehyde levels beneath the safety limit recommended by the American Lung Association and the federal Environmental Protection Agency.

Emails later uncovered by Congressional investigation revealed that during the summer of 2006, FEMA?s lawyers recommended against testing trailers for fear of legal liability.
Worth repeating:
Emails later uncovered by Congressional investigation revealed that during the summer of 2006, FEMA?s lawyers recommended against testing trailers for fear of legal liability.

In the fall of 2006, the agency went ahead with testing. Their study was criticized as being rigged to produce favorable results, but still supported the Sierra Club findings. In July of this year, FEMA offered alternative housing to Gulf Coast refugees, but approximately 47,000 of the trailers are still in use.

FEMA U-TURN ON TRAILER TESTS
Responding to the anecdotal evidence, the Sierra Club tested 44 FEMA trailers and found formaldehyde concentrations as high as 0.34 parts per million ? a level nearly equal to what a professional embalmer would be exposed to on the job, according to one study of the chemical?s workplace effects.

Instead of purchasing from the state of Louisiana trailers, which would have helped that ravaged economy, these trailers where purchased by FEMA from a Republican party backer. Not only did the last presidential administration, the complete administration, fall short in assistance to Katrina's devastation, including the destruction of coastal Mississippi, these toxic trailers where purchased and pushed on the hurricanes victims. Where were the Democrats then? Scared, without a backbone to stand against Republicans.
A man who doesn't stand up for anything, will fall for everything ....

Guess where these trailers are going next?
HAITI.

Politickin bout dead Prezidents -
Remarks by Governor Edward M. Gramlich
At the Housing Bureau for Seniors Conference, Ann Arbor, Michigan
January 18, 2002

"Some predatory lending involves outright fraud and deception, practices that are already illegal."
"Also over the same period, the number of conventional mortgage loans increased 122 percent to African-American borrowers and 147 percent to Hispanic borrowers, compared with an increase of 35 percent to white borrowers. "
122%
"These reports tell of lenders who extend credit to borrowers unable to repay the debt (so-called asset-based lending); repeatedly refinance, or "flip," loans for the purpose of collecting fees; incorporate credit terms and products that are of questionable value to the borrower but significantly increase the cost of credit; and in some cases resort to outright fraud."

Remarks by Governor Ben S. Bernanke
Before the National Economists Club, Washington, D.C.
November 21, 2002
Deflation: Making Sure "It" Doesn't Happen Here
"Despite the adverse shocks of the past year, our banking system remains healthy and well-regulated, and firm and household balance sheets are for the most part in good shape."
Deflation of sufficient magnitude may result in the nominal interest rate declining to zero or very close to zero.2 Once the nominal interest rate is at zero, no further downward adjustment in the rate can occur, since lenders generally will not accept a negative nominal interest rate when it is possible instead to hold cash. At this point, the nominal interest rate is said to have hit the "zero bound."
Hence I agree that the situation is one to be avoided if possible.
(The situation, near zero percent interest rate for the US. However, Japan took 30 years to get out of a trillion of debt, at 0% interest. The Fed has argued it will not replicate the Japanese financial model, but it has.)

Paulson

Today Henry Paulson was on CNN being interveiwed by Peter Cook.
What he said, and what happened, during the financial crisis, and who is to blame.

Tuesday, February 2, 2010
CNN Interveiws Henry Paulson

"It is not the bailouts, but the allowance to do it"

"No members of Cogress saw what was happening"
"However, the rise in the use of credit by lower-income homeowners has not come without cost. It has been accompanied by increasing reports of abusive, unethical, and in some cases illegal, lending practices. These reports raise questions about the numbers just presented, and more broadly, jeopardize the twin American dreams of owning a home and building wealth. These reports tell of lenders who extend credit to borrowers unable to repay the debt (so-called asset-based lending); repeatedly refinance, or "flip," loans for the purpose of collecting fees; incorporate credit terms and products that are of questionable value to the borrower but significantly increase the cost of credit; and in some cases resort to outright fraud. These reports also tell of victims losing hard-earned equity in their homes and sometimes even losing their homes to foreclosure. Of particular interest to you today is that lenders often target elderly homeowners, who tend to have the highest levels of equity in their homes. Other groups that have disproportionately been prey for unscrupulous creditors are women, minorities, and lower-income households. The activities, referred to collectively as predatory lending, are a scourge on the mortgage industry. "
Remarks by Governor Edward M. Gramlich

Lets look at Bear Stearns vs Lehman

http://topics.nytimes.com/top/ reference/timestopics/subjects /c/credit_crisis/index.html?re f=business

The Crisis Takes Hold
The first shoe to drop was the collapse in June 2007 of two hedge funds owned by Bear Stearns that had invested heavily in the subprime market. As the year went on, more banks found that securities they thought were safe were tainted with what came to be called toxic mortgages. At the same time, the rising number of foreclosures helped speed the fall of housing prices, and the number of prime mortgages in default began to increase.
The Federal Reserve took unprecedented steps to bolster Wall Street. But still the losses mounted, and in March 2008 the Fed staved off a Bear Stearns bankruptcy by assuming $30 billion in liabilities and engineering a sale to JPMorgan Chase for a price that was less than the worth of Bear?s Manhattan skyscraper.
Events began to move even faster. On Sept. 12, top government and finance officials gathered for talks to fend off bankruptcy for Lehman Brothers. The talks broke down, and the government refused to step in and salvage Lehman as it had for Bear. Lehman?s failure sent shock waves through the global banking system, as became increasingly clear in the following weeks. Merrill Lynch, which had not been previously thought to be in danger, sold itself to the Bank of America to avoid a similar fate.
Why Bears and not Lehman? Because, according to the IBD, the FEDs, came to Bears 6 months before, and asked if it could fix the problem. The result of FED assistance? The FED would have all access to Bear Stearns books, Bears would have to raise significant capital, or find a buyer, and Bears would be run by Federal agents. The problem? Bears came clean, sold itself to JP Morgan, who bought the toxic debt.
Lehman couldn't find a buyer, because toxic subprime mortage securities where started to be questioned. The Bank of Korea was considering a purchase of Lehman, but once the Bank of Korea found out that these toxic loans existed, they bowed out.
HOWEVER,
these mortgage backed securities were, and still are, backed by the US Treasury.
The US Treasury: The Feds control Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
AKA, taxpayers.

. The thing is, toxic mortgages, which Governor Gramlich remarks are about, in 2002, proves that Paulson is either lying, that Congress knew nothing about what was happening, or that Congress did not care.

The need for a "Systematic Regulator", look at the forest, not just a tree.

This was the comment by Paulson, and shot himself in the foot, again. Whyy do we need more Bureacracy? Is the United States, United States Federal Reserve, the pinnacle of banking, not able to do this?

Future of regualtion reform should not be handled by Congress because they are in adequate to handle it.

Another comment by Paulson concerning regulation. Congress knew about what was happening in 2002, at least Governor Gramlich did.

Resolution Authority - the ability to liquidate a company without it affecting the rest of the stock market.

The future: the liquidation of a company does not need taxpayers to bail the company out.

This comment by Paulson is interesting, because the tax payers have no way, no "exit strategy", besides a bail out for Wall Street. What are tax payers going to do, say no?

"China stimulated economy through bank lending."

Is Paulson trying to tell US banks to lend now?
IS that all it takes for US banks to lend again, an interveiw by Paulson?

Funny how Paulson tries to blame the Brits, because of AIG.

AIG, is an interesting subject.
Are CDO's insurance or not?
I say they are, but the argument is CDO's are not.
What are CDO's?

I will explain tomorrow.

All of this, explains one thing:

President Barack Obama walked into something that cannot be fixed.

So, to Republicans:
" the lawmakers said Obama ignored their ideas while driving up debt ..." NYTimes
This all started during the last Republican administration, under President George Bush, whoi stated history will vindicate him.
George Bush was the worst US President since President Taft, period.
A virus is in are financial system, toxic assests, and all President Barack Obama can do, or any President in the future, is to push the debt futher down the road.
There is no way out. Henry Paulson took are tax money to bail out American Express, Dodge, and Chevy.

Ford took no bail out money, and now is very succesful. Why couldn't other's do what Ford do? Why where we forced to pay this?

How come no one is talking about the fact that President Obama COMMITTED TREASON? Article I Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution states:

No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.

On Sept. 24, 2009 Obama did just that, and there is proof, so my question is, why hasn't Congress or this government which is, by definition of the Constitution suppose to serve the people, impeach him?

Hello Roland, i hope all is well with you and yours for the holidays? I want to say that i made three attemps, left three messages on Tony's/CNN hotline, but he have not played or showed my statement or views on the latest troop surge and the Afgan war. So i want to say at this time, i think that President Obama is doing an outstanding job with the total mess G. Bush left for him after the last (8) years. And that we can not win this type of war, in the way we are fighting it, and against the life style of these type of people !
Roland, we need to do the same thing that we did to end the Vietnam war, just pull 75% of our troops out, bring them home asap, and with the 25% left there we need to make sure that they are specially trained(elite type)troops to hut down Ben Ladden and his other main cells. But these troops need to be rotated every 12months until we have solid intel on Ben Ladden. For the 75% we bring back, we should use them to help search out the cells that maybe here and or within our own state side military branches(moles if you will). Roland i make this statement like this because i have experience from within. My name is Eddie and i've served in the US Army for 20yrs plus, retired May,1997from Ft. Hood,Tx.While in there i held a secret clearence with NATO security/ three years in west Germany. But all that being said, i want you to know that i realy enjoy listening to you and hearing your opinions on different topics. You seem to have most of the same views as i do. (Thank you for what you do)

President Barack Obama can not make banks loan now, for several reasons. One, they are the ones that put him in power, remeber the lobbyists he was going to get rid of? Two, with the interest rates so low, banks are investing in bonds, to shore there banks up. Why? There is still is a lot of uncertainty out there, unanswered questions, example? Is the commercial real estate "bubble" the next to burst in the United States? Two, the Dubai World scare, is it a repeat of 1996, when the baht fell and world currencies from Thailand to Argentina where affected? If it is, what is the next country to fail, Greece? Three, the sluggish economy, no one is buying out there. American retailers now are debating to slash prices 50 - 75% off? Where is the profit in that? Four, businesses, because of the sluggish economy, are cutting costs, employees, to survive. Now, what is the difference between President Barack Obama's Administration and President George Bush's Administration? President George Bush's Administration used Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, along with Moody's and Goldman Sacs, to give credit ratings that were deceptive, on sub-prime mortgages, that then where used to push loans to people that didn't deserve a house in the first place. So, now all of the sudden, these banks can say, oh, we can't lend? Americans where lied to, our money (700 billion under Paulson) was to get rid of toxic assets, with a three, THREE page proposal, and instead, our money was given to Dodge, American Express, and other companies that had nothing to do with these toxic assets. Another 500 billion of our money was given away under President Obama. What if, not in tax breaks, but in refunds, give $10,000 back to every American taxpayer, I bet that would stimulate the economy. Funny, that still doesn't add up to 1.3 trillion, does it?

"So Tiger likes white girls?" He, like Maria Carey, and Oprah, lost their Black identity a long time ago. When Mariah came out, she too, also downplayed her being Black. Oprah's finally leaving, and taking her White audiences with her to her own cable network. Good. What did she really, really do for Black Americans? Or even minorities? Oh, she had her own show, show that you could do it, but only had White, White audiences. Ok, she bought 100 acres in Hawaii, but what did she do for New Orleans? Here's something:
3 weeks ago, Oprah has on her "Oprah Book List," a book on Rwanda. Oprah stated that "these books are hard to sell to Americans because of the names, and Americans just don't buy books about things outside America." That is why she is wrong. Her following waits for her to speak, just like Limbaugh's following. She could have promoted books dealing with Black folks and culture, experience, but has failed to do so.
Rwanda. How long ago was that? The Rwandan Genocide was the 1994 mass killing of hundreds of thousands of Rwanda's Tutsis and Hutu political moderates by Hutus under the Hutu Power ideology. Over the course of approximately 100 days, from the assassination of Juvénal Habyarimana on 6 April through mid-July, at least 500,000 people were killed. Most estimates indicate a death toll between 800,000 and 1,000,000. "http://en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/Rwanda"
15 years? 15 years later, "Mutha Oprah," tells her audiences, White Folks, that Rwanda should be remembered? Where was she 15 years ago? Where was the US 15 years ago? In Bosnia, keeping Europeans from having genocide in their backyard. No one did anything, nobody. Now, Oprah wants to put a book on her list? Now that shes leaving?
How can we take Rush Limbaugh down? How? He, like Oprah, has blind followers, ready to get fed his ideology.

Their destination: ?the epicenter of the violent extremism practiced by al-Qaida.?

?It is from here that we were attacked on 9/11, and it is from here that new attacks are being plotted as I speak,? the president said.

This was tremendous way for President Barack Obama to thrust the decision back on himself. After repeatingly hearing, "the inherited problem defense," this is a refreshing move. This response focuses on: (1) why we are really there (2) that we should have never went to Iraq in the first place.

What happened to those weapons of mass destruction?
Where they ever there?
Where you lied to?

This influx of 30,000 troops is not much different than the Republican backed "surge" two years ago, just the wording is different.

Please read my other comment below, or go to my site.

Thank you.

These are quotes from, "The Nation," volume 289, number 18

Col. Daivd Haight, commands the Third Brigade of the 10th Mountain Division said" But I know that, it is what it is: Essentially paying the enemy, saying,"hey, don't hassle me." I don't like it, but it is what it is.

Who receives are tax dollars? One example, President Karzai's cousin, Mr. Popal. Was charged in the US in 1988 with conspiracy to import more than a kilo of heroin, then released in 1997. So what?

Now he runs the Waton Group, which is deals with "security risk management," (private army).

"key to the WAR EFFORT, (Waton) is protecting envoys of Afghan trucks heading form Kabul to Kandahar, carrying carrying American supplies."

OVER THE SUMMER:

6, 6 trucking contracts are worth 2.2 billion dollars.
that is 360 million dollars each contract folks.

NCL Holdings, also a licensed security company in Afghanistan, is billed $500,000 a month for Waton's services.

OUT OF: New York Times, November 29, 2009
The Americans (what Americans?) say they have no plans to give cash to local Taliban commanders. They say they would rather give them jobs.
In a defense appropriations bill recently approved by Congress, lawmakers set aside $1.3 billion for a program known by its acronym, CERP, a discretionary fund for American officers. Ordinarily, CERP money is used for development projects, but the language in the bill says officers can use the money to support the ?reintegration into Afghan society? of those who have given up fighting.

The Soviets tried to control the Opium trade there, and with our help, US tax payer money, throughout the 1980's,
the Afghans won. The first World Trade Center bombing? Masterminded by the Blind Sheik, trained by the US and given his papers to come here. You saw what he did.

This war is the same scenario in Colombia, Nicaragua, and today, Mexico. It is not a "War on Drugs," but a war to control the route to the US.

With Tea Party activists brewing their own strain of conservativism, Republicans are waging a fierce battle among themselves over what it means to be a member of the Grand Old Party.
