Welcome to my piece of the planet, come on inside and make yourselves comfortable.
I'm pretty much laid back, I like to laugh and enjoy being around warm easy going people. I like curling up under the covers when its snowing or raining outside, laughing so hard my stomach and sides hurt, putting my fingers in a man's hair (especially if he has loose curls or better yet locs!), savoring a really good piece of chocolate, a pair of strong hands rubbing my feet, watching animated TV, beating everyone I know at Connect 4, playing Sudoku, reading a book so good you forgo sleep and food, the laughter of children, etc.
Captivated by sweet, sentimental types that value family; and happy people -- those who laugh at the littlest thing and smile a lot. Yes I'm a sucker for a gorgeous smile. Highly attracted to artists, musicians, writers and other creative free spirits who are vibrant, quick witted, passionate and resourceful.
Excerpt from 1984 "From where Winston stood it was just possible to read, picked out on its white face in elegant lettering, the three slogans of the Party: WAR IS PEACE FREEDOM IS SLAVERY IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH."
Because ... what we look like is more important than what we do and if we get raped it's our fault and if we get beaten we must have provoked it and if we raise our voices we're nagging b*tches and if we enjoy sex we're nymphos and if we don't we're frigid and if we love women it's because we can't get a "real" man and if we ask our doctor too many questions we're neurotic and/or pushy and if we expect childcare we're selfish and if we stand up for our rights we're aggressive and "unfeminine" and if we don't we're typical weak females and if we want to get married we're out to trap a man and if we don't we're unnatural ... ~Author unknown, quoted in The Torch, 14 September 1987
"Hell Is for Children" by Pat Benatar
They cry in the dark, so you can't see their tears They hide in the light, so you can't see their fears Forgive and forget, all the while Love and pain become one and the same In the eyes of a wounded child
"Long Walk" by Jill Scott You're here, I'm pleased, I really dig your company Your style, your smile, your peace mentality Lord, have mercy on me, I was blind, now I can see What a king's supposed to be, baby I feel free, come on and go with me Let's take a long walk around the park after dark Find a spot for us to spark, conversation, verbal elation, stimulation Share our situations, temptations, education, relaxations Elevations, maybe we can talk about something the entire day Or maybe we can see a movie Or maybe we can see a play on Saturday And feel the breeze and listen to a symphony Or maybe chill and just be, or maybe Maybe we can take a cruise and listen to the Roots Or maybe eat some passion fruit Or maybe cry to the blues Or maybe we could just be silent
SHE MAY BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF...
...You're turned on by sweet, movie-worthy romance, like slow kisses and crazy-great compliments. ...You deal with problems by honestly addressing them and taking emotions into consideration. She's a philosopher at heart, and even if you two don't agree in the end, you'll learn tons about each other during your in-depth discussions.
Atmosphere matters to this sensualist, so find a spot with a romantic vibe (try a botanical garden or outdoor jazz concert) for the real highlight: your ever-intensifying one-on-one bond.
She feels most energized when she's engaging her mind, so try watching a documentary, seeing an interesting exhibit, or taking a class, such as sushi making.
What are the top qualities you look for in a person?
"Just Like Water" by Lauryn Hill
Melting down the walls of inhibition Evaporating all of my fears Baptizing me into complete submission Dissolving my condition with his tears
Coursing through my senses, he's prevailing Floating through the space of my design Drowning me to find my inside sailing Drinking in the mainstream of his mind
He's pouring out his soul to me for hours and hours Drawing out my nature with his hands Yearning, I'm so thirsty for his power Burning to be worthy of his land
"Want" by Disturbed
Quivering now, shivering now, withering Your mind won't let you say that you're Wondering now, pondering now, hungering Won't let you say that you're
Questioning, wavering, weakening Your mind won't let you say that you're Hearkening, listening, heeding me now Won't let you say that you want me
Savor the addiction Savor the affliction* Savor me
