The Indians did what most gracious hosts would do. Strangers from a different land came visiting so the Indians welcomed them with a meal. A feast insued. Shortly thereafter, these very same strangers repaid them for their hospitality by taking their Country away from them, and forcing them to live on Reservations.

Yeah, Happy Thanksgiving.

 

On My birthday I'm the only one that gets gifts. On Your birthday, you're the only one. Not your family members too, or your neighbors and co-workers. So, if Christmas is 'supposed to be' JESUS's Birthday, shouldn't we be asking What Might HE for His Birthday? Instead of going shopping at the mall?

 

If I do things to make sure that the Lady in my life knows that she's special to me all year round (and sometimes I get a little extravegant). Do I really need someone to tell me that I should let her know this because it's Valentines Day? I think not.

 

Maybe we should look a little deeper at these so-called, and made up holidays and why, and how, and if we should even celibrate them instead of just blindly following because it's just always been done this way.

It really is something how life's complexeties can and do change people. Some folks for the better, and some for worse. I'll tell you this ... if you can manage to keep a smile on your face more often than not, not take life too seriously, ride out the storms that enevitably will come, and KNOW that every moment we have today is an opportunity to shape life into how you wish it to be - if we just take advantage of them.
