Today is 4/20, the unofficial holiday celebrated by millions of smokers all over the world. For many smokers this substance is looked at as an agent for creativity and for others it is used for medicinal purposes. While I don't have an issue with those that REALLY have medical issues that weed can help alleviate, my gripe is with those who claim to be more productive from getting high. With the economy in its current condition, it is a common trend to see that most people are going back to school. While the statistics show that the more educated someone is the higher their earning potential, I think that it is necessary we reassess the true purpose of an education. If you ask the average college student why they are pursuing their degree, I could bet my bottom dollar that their motivation for doing so is to earn money in the future.
