Greetings and salutations BlackPlanet,



Above is a picture from March 2005.

I`m a 6`5" brother haling from Columbus, Ohio. I attended and graduated from the University of Cincinnati. I received a B.A. in Political Science and Pre-Law when I graduated in December of 2001.


I completed my legal education/training and obtained my Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio September 2005.



That is a superficial description I have to offer. To look deeper into my mind, I placed this poem that my friend sent to me.



TOO BLACK

They take my kindness for weakness

They take my silence for speechless.

They consider my uniqueness strange

They consider my language slang.

They see my confidence as conceit

They see my mistake as defeat.

They consider my success accidental

They minimize my intelligence to "potential."

My questions mean I`m unaware

My advancement is somehow unfair.

Any praise is preferential treatment

To voice concern is discontentment.

If I stand up for myself, I`m too defensive

If I don`t trust them, I`m too apprehensive.

I`m deviant if I separate

I`m fake if I assimilate.

My character is constantly under attack

Pride for my race makes me "TOO BLACK".



You never can get to where you are going without acknowledging where you have been. So before I go, I want to say R.I.P. to all the friends and family members I have lost, You all will truly be missed. None more than my father.
Man, you truly were and still are the wind beneath my wings!!!!!!! I love you Dad!
