I cannot think of many things, in fact as I am typing this I cannot think of one, that an individual can maintain without dedication and steady effort. Champion runners cannot maintain their speed without steadfast training. Surgeons soon lose their steady hand once they have gone out of practice. In a time where most would concur that classism, misogyny, homophobia, lookism, ageism…etc are still relevant, why are we so hurried to discount that racism is still present? A term has even been coined to de-sensationalise its existence (race card). The systematic internalization of negative perceptions has caused even those who are victimized to believe that racism is obsolete.
