Here's a little poem I wrote....wanna here it, here it goes.....

Dear Mr. and Mrs Ghetto,

I'm a sensible, stylish, young adult with some class. Not the one in the club with the mini skirt trying to show that a$$. I want a brotha that knows there's more to fashion than Jordan's, platinum grill, and white tee's. And instead of chasing paper, he's out there chasing his bachelor's degree. I'm a woman that knows there's nothing wrong with natural hair. Call it "Afrocentric" or "too lazy to get a perm"....I don't care. There's more to music than making your finger's snap. Jazz, alternative, neo-soul, punk, pop, country, there's so much more than rap. Be it visual art, music, poetry, fashion, beauty....whatever. I'm a sophisticated, cultural, creative mind. The future is yours to create; it has not yet been defined. It's okay to be different, be original, and think "outside the box". Don't you dare compare me to one of those girls receiving one of Flavor Flav's clocks. I show some class, I don't show my a$$. But I will show you my mind if you give me the time. Bottom line, I'm one of the few young African American's with some sense. It's time to put the term "ghetto nigga" in past tense.

Just a little something I think summarizes me and where my mind is at right now.

Hey! What's going on? Me...I'm just chillin. I'm graduating from college and moving back to Houston this month. So the New Year holds lots of exciting changes for me, and I'll be looking for a new job. The goal is to start up my own fashion design label and become a worldwide brand. Somewhere down the line I eventually want to own a restaurant/club/lounge for events and parties. I am a nice, friendly person, and I'm comfortable meeting new people. Most of my friends would describe me as funny, blunt, and crazy. I'm an entertainment junkie. I love music, television, movies, and the internet. I don't really enjoy going to wild, hood clubs, I'm more into the neo-soul lounges and grown and sexy atmosphere. I want to be the person who goes to plays, basketball games, outdoor trips for the weekend, and even lazer tag and amusement parks. I just like to have fun. Here are some keywords that I think describe my personality.....CAUTIOUS, ARGUMENTATIVE, FLIRTATIOUS, LAZY, LOYAL, NAIVE, RELIABLE, NARROW-MINDED, SENSIBLE, TALKATIVE, RESOURCEFUL, UNTIDY, ETHICAL, CLUMSY, HUMOROUS, TIMID, CONSIDERATE, WITHDRAWN, INQUISITIVE, IMPULSIVE, AND PUNCTUAL. Yeah, I even threw the bad ones in there. I think I know myself very well. My life is pretty much drama free. I don't like to play games and I'm not like most girls I know. I'm not a groupie, I don't like guys because of what they have, and I'm not about to steal someone's else's man. What's the point? If he would cheat on her, he'll cheat on me. I don't understand people who cheat. If you're unhappy, sit down have a talk and get it over with. When I'm talking to someone, I am committed to the relationship and I'm not interested in anybody else. Isn't that how it's supposed to be? Oh well, everyone doesn't have the same mindset as me.

I'm not on BP to look for a man. I would really love to just meet some cool, chill people, male and female, make some friends, check out the city and find some spots to hang out. I'm down for anything, sports bars, night clubs, poetry lounges, pool halls, art museums, sit in and watch a music session, or even a fish fry at somebody's house. Whatever is cool with me, I just can't sit in the house 24/7. So hit me up and we'll start up a conversation.
