personal messageLet it be known that I am NOT, nor will I ever be defined by stereotypes. -A.G. Brooks
Hello to all, and thanks for visiting. For those who don't know me, my name's Adaecus (pronounced Atticus, like To Kill a Mockingbird) Brooks. I was born and raised in Baltimore, growing up an only child... for the record, if you started assuming I was a spoiled brat growing up, I wasn't; I just spoil myself at times because I can... *ahem* Anyway, as far as my personality, I can be a little shy and stand-offish when I first meet people, but after several encounters and me being comfortable with you is when I start to break down my barriers. You should also know that just as I can be shy, nice or whatever the case might be, I'm also blunt and can even be a p.r.i.c.k or an a.s.s.h.o.l.e (within reason). I'm also a very spiritual person, believing in purity of the body; I don't believe in smoking, drinking, getting body piercings or tattoos... for the record, I'm a Baptist but my religion has nothing to do with my spiritual beliefs; religion and spirituality can go hand in hand, but they are not the same................. Speaking of my beliefs, I need to make something clear: just because I believe in what I believe and you might do what I've mentioned above doesn't necessarily mean I won't befriend you; everyone's entitled to their own beliefs and lifestyles, and this just happens to be mine. In my spare time, I like working out, playing video games, shopping and enjoying the peace and tranquility of my own environment. Outside of all that, although I don't do it as often because of time, my no. 1 passion is art; I've been at it since I was 5. I like to draw from time to time and I'm working on getting back into painting. I'm also working on graphic designs with hopes of being a successful graphic artist. Unfortunately, I was never accepted to any art schools, but that's okay. Instead, I'm a Combat Photographer in the United States Marine Corps. Again, thanks for stopping by. I've written this blog on facebook and Myspace a year ago and finally decided to place it on BP. All thoughts and opinions are welcome.
There was a time when dating and having relationships outside your race was a crime. Nowadays, it's damn near common to see interracial couples just about everywhere you go. To me, it's actually a beautiful thing to find love and to look beyond the color of someone's skin, but sometimes you still can't help but to wonder why the couple's together. Here are my positive and negative reasons for it: comments from my friendsYou need to be friends with agbmorpheus in order to leave them a Comment. In the meantime, you can always sign their guestbook. |
