BIOGRAPHY Dj Ahmahnee aka Rob Maldonado has been pumping the tunes in Chicago since the beginning of the true party sound; starting as a Youngin in the Robert Taylor Projects (5247 South Federal Baby) Jammin those hott pieces of wax and learnin the Spinnin game.... This was when the Djin game grew to be hot as hell. For those who don't know The "Robert Taylor Homes" is the name of housing projects in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, alongside the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94); A highway positioned sepererating blacks from whites at that time. At one time, this was the largest housing project in the world. It was composed of 28 high-rise buildings of 16 stories each stretching for two miles. As of January 2006, 27 of the buildings were demolished and only one remains standing. Getting Back To The Story Dj Ahmahnee Grabbed inspiration from the cats who were beating the BASE EXTRA hard in the Taylors like Dj Derrick,>>>> Dj JoJo & Dj Geno From the almighty HOLE 5322, 5323 & 5326. Not to mention, the large number of Djs that were handling super business on the weekend radio shows and Live parties; WBMX's Hot Mix 5, Most notably, Farley Funkin Keith, aka Farley Jackmaster Funk. Also, Pink House (WKKC Foreva baby), Lil Louis at the Bismark (Diamond Corp.), Ron Hardy aka Ronnie (Flippin that EQ at the all of his hot spots), Pharris Thomas (Blendin that house flava on the south side), Andre Hatchett and many more. Using this inspiration, A young Dj Ahmahnee went on to gain further experience spinning parties at various Chicago spots like the Humminingbird, The Gentle Persuasion and many downtown, hotel, high school joints; hooking up with various Chicago djs like: Dj Gene Hunt, Dj Emanuel Pippen(Prairie street South Side!!! Holla at Cha Boy), Dj Terron Washington(John B. Drake; Where ya at bro), Dj Mike Dunn(Dance Mutha) & many more, Dj Ahmahnee still works hard at providing creative blends of music that soothes the souls of many. Sending SHOUT OUTS!!!!
