Testimonies are statements used for evidence or proof. BP I rep.. Christ and when I think about the goodness of the Lord I have to testify. I choose not to take the Lord for granted. I thank Him every morning for waking me and my family up b/c I know He is good and his mercy endureth forever.
Not long ago I was @ work and folded miy arms; @ that point I noticed what appeared to be a lump in my chest. I thought to myself, the deveil is a lie. And I refused to let the words, "I have a lump," come out of my mouth b/c I know life and death is what can come out of my mouth. I know that my world is shaped by my words I let come out of my mouth. Immediately I thought, seek ye first the kingdom of God (Matt.6:33). This meant I'm going to talk this over w/the Lord before I go to the doctor.
From a child I heard the Lord is a fiend to the friendless, a lawyer in a courtroom, and a doctor when you're sick. I can honestly say he's been all of that to me. Later that night when I was not distracted I went to Dr. Jesus. (Incidently, he won't let anything sneak up on you b/c I'd been thinking about these scriptures.)He prescribed to me 3 pills: Matt. 8:17 (He took our suffering on him and carried our diseases."), I Peter 2:24 ("And you were healed b/c of his wounds."), & Isaiah 53:4(But he took our suffering on him & felt our pain for us, all New Century Version)I chose to believe the report of the Lord over anyone else. From that day forth I said those 3 scriptures whenever I thought about it. Whenever the lump came to my mind, I cast it down w/those scriptures. In case you don't know prayer & praise goes together. So I thanked the Lord for his goodness and mercy endureth forever. Did the lump go away immediately? No. In fact over the weeks it seemed to get larger. But I made sure nothing but what God says about me came out of my mouth.
During this time a revelation type faith produced. John 20:29 says, Then Jesus told him, "You believe b/c you see me. Those who believe w/o seeing me will be truly happy." Faith is released through our words;therefore, it will create and dominate. tThis type of faith dominates any situation. It makes circumstances bow down. I felt like b/c I believe, I didn't need to go to the doctor according to my faith. Some people don't have that kind of faith. This is a special faith I have. It crossed my mind a couple of times to go to the doctor, especially when the lump appeared to get larger. The symptoms of a larger lump made me double my prescrition of scriptures. I said the scriptures even more. Then all of a sudden, I mean in the midnight hour like Paul and Silas, I didn't feel a thing. Yes. I'm walking by faith in every situation from my healing to my light bill. It doesn't matter b/c I know God is my source.
