I have appeared on Broadway, done a few films, television, voiceovers, and am presently co-founding President/Artistic Director of Birmingham Theatre Workshop, Incorporated. Our next production, rhythm 'n roots, will run here in Birmingham (Alabama)-June 17th through the 27th. This historical music review celebrates the music of Black composers. Among them are Sheldon Brooks, Sy Oliver, Cecil MacPherson, Eddie Green, Big Bill Broonzy, and many more. Yes, this week RHYTHM 'N ROOTS starts its run at The Hopewell Family Life Center at 4812 Jefferson Avenue, Building 2, Birmingham , Alabama, 35221. Opening Night is June 17th and the curtain goes up at 7:30 PM. Conceived by me, I am the Director, composer, arranger, and CEO of Birmingham Theatre Workshop,Inc. Aldridge Repertory Theatre, Incorporated is casting for the premiere of a historical musical review, Rhythm 'N Roots.
