• Everything in my profile is 100% accurate and up to date.
   
• I am here looking to meet women who share similar interests and pastimes and would enjoy sharing them with me every now and then, either on a purely friendly basis, or as more than just friends.
   
• My passion is rooted in individuality and creativity. Everything I do both personally and professionally can be traced to these drivers, and I am most attracted to women who likewise manifest individuality and creativity.
   
• While I tend to get along well casually with just about anyone, I only truly vibe and spend time with a very small number of people because I think differently about most things than the average person.
   
• I pay attention to myself and my experiences with others, and am VERY CLEAR about my likes and dislikes. So please understand that my Ideal Match selections are also very accurate and are based on what I know I like.
   
• If I do not answer your IM request or email, please do not take it personally, as I do not know you. Before I communicate with you, I will first look at your profile. If your profile is blank or does not show that we have similar interests or perspectives, then I have no reason to expect that we will ‘click,’ and I am not into talking to anyone ‘because you never know.’
   
• Being clear on my likes and dislikes leads me to be far more candid than most people, and my candor rubs some people the wrong way. I have seen that no matter what your background, philosophy, lifestyle or appearance, there are many men who will be interested in you if they were to meet you. I just may not be one of those men, just as I understand that many women will not be interested in me for any number of reasons.
   
• ABOUT FRIEND INVITES:  99% of the time, I will DECLINE Friend Invites.  To me, a 'Friend' is someone who I see and / or talk with frequently, not someone on a list of people who I do not really know from a hole in the wall.  We will only be Friends if we have something to talk about, and actually DO talk from time to time.  And  as I talk ten times faster than I type, I do NOT use the Internet much to keep in touch with my real friends.  Typing messages back and forth is NOT a good use of my time.  If we have something to talk about, we will be doing it on the phone or in person. 

My Objectives

At the present, I am interested in meeting women for friendship and dating. It is very unlikely that I will be entertaining a serious relationship in the near future. If I do change my mind in that area, I will update my profile accordingly.

My Philosophy

My basic philosophy of Life can be summed up by 'Leave things in a better state than you found them.' Ideally, this pertains not just to people, but to other living and non-living things (if there is such a concept). Thus, I strive to treat the people in my life well and add value to their lives, and on good days I might even succeed.

I believe that we all are all works in progress and am less concerned with where you have come from than where you are going, as you may not have had much choice in the former, but have almost complete choice in the latter. So I choose to only associate with positive-moving people who are working on improving themselves and who/whatever comes into contact with them.

People who specialize in negativity will be politely ignored.

My Lifestyle

For the most part, I am a homebody. When I go out, it will usually be for dinner, movies or (my favorite!) live music. I thrive on creativity and enjoy music deeply, but only music that comes from a place of creativity (I cannot stomach 99% of mainstream music). I enjoy immersing myself with sights, sounds, tastes, smells, feelings and states of consciousness that I find beautiful and enjoyable.

Minor Update: I picked up this cute little convertible last year, and as it starts to get warmer, I am enjoying top-down drives to nowhere, where I can enjoy nature and my favorite music turned up nice and loud!

I channel my creativity by creating software, and am generally working on or learning something, so I rarely have idle time. However, I do have a fair bit of discretionary time and am happy to do social things with some of it, but I am never just sitting around looking to kill time. So things generally have to be scheduled in advance with me.

My Sexuality

I am 100% heterosexual, but have a 'sex-positive' mindset (look it up on Wikipedia) which means that I am very accepting of people with diverse sexual orientations and practices, and treat sexuality as just another normal part of human life.

So if you have very restrictive or judgmental attitudes toward sexuality, we are not likely to get along well (even as friends).

P.S. Since you are wondering, this does NOT mean that I am interested in having sex with all of my female friends.

Distance

Remember when I said that I am a homebody? Well, I rarely make it as far as Brooklyn to visit my family, so the odds are slim to none that I am going to travel too far to get to know a woman I met online.

Now if you are planning to visit the Boston area anyway, then let's chat, but other than that, I am very hesitant to chat with women who are too far to spend time with on a regular basis, even if you have it 'going on' in all the areas that I vibe with. To date, I have not been successful doing the pen-pal thing, and it is unlikely that I will magically change in this way.

Religiosity

I am a Secular Humanist (look it up if you need to), which means that I view all religious traditions as mythology with smatterings of cultural history here and there. I do not believe in ANY supernatural beings (i.e. gods), and am totally comfortable with many things being presently unknown  Throughout history, the definition of 'unknown' has been a moving target, and history shows us that just because something is not known TODAY does not mean that ancient religious 'explanations' have an ounce of truth to them.

So if faith, religion or religious ideas are a significant part of your life, then on a daily basis, we live in radically different realities, and we are not likely to get along very well.
