The Truth About American Reasons for Going to War

Posted

Let's look at the track record of the causes of some major wars involving America: What we were taught about the American Revolution - It got started because the colonies, already tired of being taxed to death, got ticked off then King George imposed a tea tax. Umm, yeah, right. Yawn. The truth: After centuries of trial and error to introduce a "freedom" ideology, greedy men finally found a far away land with lots of gold in the New World to establish a secure base to build a... Christ still Dissed This Christmas

Posted

It's supposed to be Christmas but as usual, more stores like Walmart and Target find products that keep the Christ out of Christmas. Yet they don't offend other religions during this holiday season. When business schools teach marketing, they teach students to reach the largest target market possible by finding common denominators. Well, a large majority of shoppers in the U.S. are Christians, yet they go against conventional business wisdom to stomp out Christ. Hmmm. I don't buy products that... (continue reading)

The Importance of Obama's Presidency

The Importance of Obama's Presidency

America has had 43 white male presidents in a row since the beginning. Yet when Obama won the election, they want to claim that, in essence, African Americans don't know how to leave race and emotion out of the vote. To that I say: whatever, hypocrites. If that is the case, then why didn't America let Frederick Douglas become president way back in the mid 1800s? Why only white males in office? I can see if we had rotated the office among the various races... (continue reading)

Black Queens and Black Kings - Our Royal Heritage in a Nutshell

Black Queens and Black Kings - Our Royal Heritage in a Nutshell

Everywhere you look these days, it seems that there's a growing interest in the lifestyles and behaviors of black men and women. And rightly so. America, and the world, is intrinsically interested in the story of a group of oppressed people who overcome the greatest adversity and outrage and still stands strong. Some of us have excelled greatly materially. So while more attention is being focused on sistas when it comes to beauty... (continue reading)

What Does the 21st Century Black Leadership Look Like - Part 2

Copyright 2011 by JC3. All rights reserved.

In the introductory post, I covered the guiding ideas behind establishing a network of black networks. This is a scalable approach, meaning that it is not limited to just one "civil rights leader" which was a failed idea forced on us by the "conqueror." It is no longer in our best interests to allow the conqueror to define our leadership for us.

So how do we do something better?

I mentioned in that intro post that each city needs a network of... (continue reading)

A Now a Quick Word About the U.S. Presidency

Posted

A now a quick word about the U.S. Presidency…

One of the lasting legacies of the Obama Administration is that, for a lot of us brothas and sistas in the African American community, his presidency has forced us to think about that office more than before. We may agree or disagree about the benefits of having the first black president, but one thing is clear: we need to understand the nature of the office if we are to understand the constraints within which President Obama... Greetings and hola! you found me. i am a business process//technology design consultant for major corporations. i am an active person, enjoying many outdoor/social activities, staying healthy, endless fun and great conversations. i am in the process of maximizing my potential on many levels.

I do it all for fun: wine bars, sports bars, fine upscale dining, boating, water parks, golf, movies, dance, arts and live music (jazz, R&B and hip hop, pop - I was formally trained in jazz and orchestra), outdoor activities, travel (esp. cruises), etc.

i don't look for anything serious right off the bat, but leave the future open for whatever happens quite naturally (not forced or rushed). we all have to learn from history and avoid repeating the same mistakes over again - that's what maturity is all about. any more questions? you know what to do. enjoy life, and do take care, and keep the faith. Amen. ciao
