12am. I awoke to the crackling sound of thunder and white flashes of lightning through the bedroom window. Had been soundly asleep for two hours or so. I made a few phone calls to the important people that needed to hear my voice before bed, put my CPAP facemask to alleviate the pain of chronically obstructed sleep apnea, and dozed up while playing my usual game of Scrabble on the faded Blackberry I purchased off Craigslist.

Well, vacation time is over. As I stepped off the crampy AirTran 727 into the balmy heat of the littywat, my thoughts began to go back in time on how droll my visit to New York was. I have been dating this woman I met online for a few years now off and on. She is such a sweety-pie, but I her full-blown 99% Christian values were beginning to turn me off.

I regret a lot of the things I've done in my life. For a lot of years, I'e done a lot of stupid, selfish things. I've put myself, and my needs for self-preservation above anyone and everything else for the vast majority of my life. I offer no excuse. I just wish I had grown up faster and not done so many of the things I did.

I think one of my biggest regrets is not trying harder in life. I've had a thousand chances to get things right. No idea where the lack of motivation comes from in life.... (continue reading)
