Hello to all my BP Friends. I thought now might be a good time to update my personal statement here. Over the last year or two since retirement I have changed the way I look at the world, and my goals and focus have changed as well. Without going into a lot of detail at this time, I'll only bring you up to date on the most evident change...first, I'm no longer in Miami Beach, but in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. I arrived here only last week after a couple of months in the U.S. virgin Islands (St. Thomas), which, as my older Friends here well know, is the culmination of a life-long dream, and, as intended facilitates my continuing independent studies of the African diaspora, humanitarian, and regional race-poverty issues with Caribbean history generally as my particular area of study. My Friends also know that I am not always all that serious. I enjoy living and like to live well. I am decidedly non-conformist, have my own religion ("I believe in God...end of sermon"), am single, STRAIGHT--that is, heterosexual, for those who seem or pretend not to understand what I mean, relaxed, and sincere. I have absolutely no time for small-talk, even less for B.S., and only welcome friends who know who they are and where they are going in this life, as opposed to any alternate, or imagined ones I'll be around.
