That's me. I am "black" but God really made a beautiful color in brown. Brown in all its shades and hues... my alter ego is OneHipSista.

who I be

Creative...spiritual...sensual and I think I have a good sense of humor - although I'm usually the only one who laughs at my jokes. I'm earthy and laid back. People tell me I have a comfortable personality - like they've known me a long time. Not much phases me and fortunately, I am not quick to anger. Alas! I am not all sweetness! Make no mistake: I will cut you. Verbally, of course. Otherwise I'm pretty happy. I often burst into song without warning. I have varied interests, among them music, dogs, cartoons, technology and boxing.

I am a graphic/web designer and sometimes writer. I am One Hip Sista. Other places you can catch me: YouTube, twitter, LinkedIn and facebook, though I don't friend ya if I don't know ya.

on music

I love music - mostly hip-hop, old skool and neo soul. Why do they call it neosoul? It's just SOUL from new artists. I've been a REDMAN (Reggie Noble) fan forever... GILLA *bleep* HOUSE N-Words.

not tv

I'm an HBO fan. Entourage and the Sopranos are my favorites. I also like TLC and Discovery Health. What Not to Wear is a great show. I also love SpongeBob. Catch SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Patrick, Plankton and Sandy cuttin up in Bikini Bottom. Krabby patties look good. Arrrg. I also watch various flavors of Law & Orders and CSI on occasion. Psych is hilarious. I also like all types of movies - from Gladiator to Friday to Pretty Woman. Martial arts, zombies, action flicks, cry your eyes out comedies and dramas...

I believe you don't need to find the perfect man/woman - just the man/woman who is perfect for YOU. I decided long ago to stop dealing with knuckleheads and situations that do nothing to help ME. I am over 35, single, fabulous and it's all good. A lot of people don't live to see my age so I'm not going to waste time lamenting. No clocks ticking ova here. I am chillin'.

on sexuality

I've written a few essays on the subject. Currently I'm wondering why people compromise on that part of a relationship. You should know your sexual self and I don't care how good everything else is or how much it makes sense, if that part is important to you and it doesn't work, it probably never will. Biggest relationship problems are around money, sex and who you are when you first wake up in the morning.

Blessed. Blessed and mo' blessed. Not much new to report although life continues to evolve. I think we're always in transition.... but as long as you keep it moving, you aiight.
