I have been called the quintessential embodiment of a relationship
builder. I enjoy meeting new people and communicating. I enjoy
nurturing and being nurtured. Simple things are important. I`m
patient, tolerant and forgiving to a point. I`m longsuffering, but
when cornered or feeling abused, I will back off quietly and go
away.
I enjoy the work I do (sales, public speaking, training) I love
children (have four adopted babies 8, 10, 12 and 15 as well as a 20
year old biological at home with their mom.) I also love music,
(Gospel, classical, jazz) -- listening and singing.
My latest singing adventure occurred this spring (2008 -- my SECOND year)
when I participated in "Serendipity", a showcase of talented Chicago
seniors on the Chicago Theatre stage. I sang and danced a little in
the opening, sang background in the doo wop group (that's me with
the mike) and closed out the program leading "Ain't No Mountain
High Enough." In 2008, I had my own solo: Mel Carter's "Hold Me, Thrill Me".
They tell me that it was good.
I also enjoy singing in church -- my first love -- and building model trains and cars in
1/87 scale. I enjoy walking, biking, yard work, working on
raggedity cars, and reading and watching history. In fact, my
exercise has paid off, because I have lost fifteen pounds since the
"suit" pictures were taken. Communicating with people all over the
world and learning from new cultures is a new outreach for me.
If I were seeking a mate, I would want someone, like Mary who loves
God; someone who doesn`t lie on you or to you; someone who does not
like to fight and argue; someone who is not always accusing and
picking fault. I would seek someone who is temporate, kind, honest,
truthful, cheerful, a communicator, a little conservative, and it
doesn`t hurt if she is attractive. She would need to love children
and old people and be tolerant of my hobbies.
I have published my first book: The Indigenous Affair. When it is
successful financially, you can tell everybody that you knew me
when.
