Okay BP I have a question. Am I wrong for having an old school way of thinking about dating nowadays, I feel like the Art of Dating/Courting has gotten lost somewhere in the mix of meeting and getting to know each other. I want to be "dated", "courted", you know. You call, set up a date, whether we meet or you pick me up. We talk, get to know each other, each others likes and dislikes. Get to feel out each others personalities and see if we want and/or are looking for the same things.
I don't feel like we should be discussing the negative issues in each of our lives on the first couple of dates, because honestly that is a turn-off to me. I don't feel like we should discuss any kind of expectations from each other right away because how can you really expect things from somebody you don't even know. Maybe I'm wrong but shouldn't the first couple of dates be about getting to know each other? I'll put it like this, some ladies feel that a woman should expect a man to commit right away to them and their responsibilities even though they aren't theirs to deal with. Also, should money or financial status be such a topic of discussion and/or even a possible deal breaker at the beginning of getting to know each other? It just seems like that's all people talk about...is money or lack thereof. All I'm saying is that romance is truly dying! Yes if a man calls and initiates a date, then he ought to be able to pay for it, but every date doesn't have to be to the most expensive restaurant in town either. It also doesn't mean that I or a woman can't or shouldn't treat you or a man she has been "dating" for awhile. What's wrong with a date to the Zoo, or to a park? Picnics are sweet too! To me that's real romance! Tell me if I'm wrong-Please!Let me know your comments. I just don't appreciate Golddiggers or men that do or choose to depend on women, financially. friends (11) |

Okay, Micheal Jackson just passed away yesterday, and I don't know if its just me, but my brother and I used to dance every chance we could to all of his music! My brother actually won so many dance contests growing up because he danced so much like him. It's so incredibly sad that so many of the greatest musical GENIUSES have been taken from this world far far to soon, but I know they're just in Heaven creating the best album we could ever imagine. Get your %#&@$! straight so you"ll be... (continue reading) meet me in 3 |
