SAM WOOD: Singer & MC, ironic lyrics can switch styles to the messages in her lyrics, whilst intelligently mixing rap with her vocals making her an unpredictable 360 degrees artist. Sam wood's music is not that easy to define, hip hop styles and sounds with an obvious nu funk influence but with a movement that gives off some dance flavour, the voice breaking into strong rap verses teasing beats which leads to eratic breaks, constantly playing with different musical influenses and an incredibile sense of humour. Her passion for music and the entertainment business took her (still a teenager) on her first job as backing vocals/dancer around Europe which enabled her to progress and discover herself as a musician and dancer/choreographer. During the mid 90's her artistic career brought her to Italy where she started a long term collaboration with top Italian artist Jovanotti as choreographer/dancer. Appearing on his European tour including promotional television tour on various music programs, Festivalbar, Buona Domenica.. featuring on Jovanotti's LP writes and performs rap on his single, one nation. Another feature on Eledanca's (ex Casino Royal) single,Sei la Mia Donna. Towards the end of 1990 is signed to Warner Bros for the European market 'Individuality' Sam Wood. Collabo's; smack it, feat. Sam Wood Beat Freaks, Sweet paradise, by 'Overseas' and written lyrics for numerous DJ/producers on the Italian house scene. Summertime 2006 brought Sam Wood on a US military tour with MCdilly performing for the US troops in military bases in Kosovo,Sarajevo,Iraq,Afghanist an. New collaborations on the soundtrack for movie 'The Minis' starring Dennis Rodman, Free up,St Connection FT. Sam Wood. Appeared as vocalist for Simone Farina (Saifam Records) & Stefano Lanfranchi (Saifam Producer) in Marseille, NRJ Radio festival leading to being signed by the label and connected with and currently touring with 'Desaparecidos in clubs and performing in dance festivals worldwide as frontwoman AKA KWERKY, performing live, Israel,Reunion Island,France,Spain,Russia,Swi tzerland,Brazil,Ukraine, switzerland, etc..with the dance hits..Ibiza,Fiesta Loca,Follow you, co-wrote tracks on LP Fiesta Loca, Boom Boom para Boom, Inside my Jeans.
