"C.A.R.L.I.T.O. A.K.A. "MEGALITO$", is fashioning himself into one of Hip-Hop's most notorious capitalist. Carlito begin to merge into the Hip-Hop culture EST: 1976. Influenced by such MC's such as Rakim, Nas, KRS-1, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Big Pun, Big L, & All other Old school pioneers... Too Many to name... Helped gain this Puerto Rican man more inspiration. Rasied in 166 St. College Ave Bronx, NYC "STAND UP!" & attending those jams in the park, Fever's, Skate Key, Etc... is when & where he began to experiment with the fine Arts of Rapping, Singing FreeStyle & R&B & Graffiti. The turning point for his gift, is when he relocated from the Bronx to Stamford, Connecticut back in 1989. With that N.Y. State of Mind, he began to explore the "City with Work" in which inevitably landed him in & out of prison for 7.5 yrs in total. However, never losing his touch of expressing the maladies of life while a ward of the state; he continued to write street poetry. Recently discharged from the Ct. Dept. of Corruptions shows that this entrepreneur is never at rest. Despite my setbacks in life... I feel you are never to old to make history, I was destine to be in this hip-hop culture & make my mark as one of the not-so many true lyricists. What bothers me is that, there is so much talent in Connecticut. But we never get recognition. You have all the nursery dudes rhyming saying nothing & anything on wax, but soon as someone enlightens the masses with reason people don't feel you... I guess many are set in their own way of thinking. There's more to life than buying a Benz or a Jacob. As my ex use to say; Partying and bull%#&@$!ting is always going to be here, but you not, got to set your mark (R.I.P. Boo Bee)! Listen to Al Pacino in Scarface; he said it best... I realized every state gets there time to shine & trust when I tell you. Connecticut is way past her circulation. I believe CT is the next Mecca of hip-hop & maark my words: " I WILL MAKE HISTORY!" Skeptic's who've never cared for Carlito's crossover efforts should see how he playfully murders the mic with his personna alone; which gives you that chill that this dude is bound for stardom .... He's cocky, arrogant, but playful then witty.... he eludes an effortless flow which shows how he mastered the profession. Many has compared his flow to the P.R. version of Nas. His material obsessions are already apparent. Carlito the hustler isn't too different from Carlito the rapper: He also state's: "Hustling is about living the life you love & loving the life you live, not violence, tortured glamour & cheap thrills." The Faculty consist: CARLITO, TONE TANA, HARLEM, BIG DREW... they will wedge there entry point into this hip-hop era... & believe me people, if you heard what I heard, be prepared for a transition of an old-school- mixed with new school blend..... of....hip-hop, R & B & Reaggaton, & freestyle.... YES. Freestyle.... It's the depths of Pain, Time, & Glory in which helps this Vietnam vet hailing out of the State of Connecticut Reppin' MERRELL AVE HOUSING PEE$, will take this hip-hop renaissance to the 21st century.
