Connection started as a group of church musicians with about 7 teenagers ranging in ages of 13-18. They called themselves "The Youth Musicians". As the young men grew in age and stature, they felt the need for a name change. Thus, Connection was born in the year of 2000. This group of young men has excited many audiences with their spirit filled song ministry. Connection has shared the stage with many great gospel quartet artist such as: The Pilgrim Jubilees, Lee Williams and The Spiritual QC's, The Canton Spirituals, The Christianaires, The Mississippi Mass Choir, Keith"Wonderboy" Johnson and The Spiritual Voices, The Gospel Four, Evelyn Turrentine-Agee, Dorothy Norwood, The Lighthouse Singers, Rev. E. Stewart and The Stewarts, Slim and The Supreme Angels, Doc McKenzie and The Hi-Lites, Dr. Jones and The Jones Family Singers, Kim Burrell and The Racy Brothers. Connection has an LP out with the hits "Trouble Won't Last Always" featuring Levie"Ash"Wright of The Lighthouse Singers of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and "Hold On". In 2007 Connection released its second CD which was a live audio recording entitled "Victory LIVE" it featured Andre Tate' of The Williams Brothers, Levie "Ash" Wright of The Lighthouse Singers and Rev. John W. Jasper JR of The New Light Baptist Church. Victory LIVE has had many great reviews thus far Gloryland Gospel has the CD at number 20 on its Top 20 Chart also they rated the CD a 9 out of 10 for the month of November 2007 CD Review http://www.glorylandgospel.com /CDReviews/2007/connection.htm l . The Musbo Company has ranked the CD as high as number 2 on its Top 10 Chart. Also we were rank at number 6 on 24 Hour Gospel Network. Our Singles "I've Been Delivered" and "Good To Me" are getting played national and international. "I've Been Delivered" has been nominated for 2007-2008 Gulf Coast Gospel Song of the Year. The group will be entering the studio in April working on their NEW CD which will be released Winter 2008-2009.
