personal message"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. The true neighbor will risk his position, his prestige, and even his life for the welfare of others." -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
A native of Cordele, Georgia--the Watermelon Capital of the World, I currently reside in Tallahassee, FL. MY EDUCATION I received my master's in Demography from Florida State University and my bachelor's in psychology with a minor in sociology from Albany State University. I am currently working on a Doctor of Public Health Degree at the Institute of Public Health in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. MY PERSONALITY Truth be told, I'm a blunt person. I value my time and I value people, but I don't like people wasting my time. I prefer that people are honest and upfront with me even if what they feel, say, or do ultimately hurts me. I mean, who wants to be surrounded by people they cannot trust? I'm a plus-sized woman and it's taken me most of my life to accept and love myself so I refuse to tolerate people around me being fake, inconsistent, or disrespectful. WHAT I LOOK FOR IN A GUY: I prefer to spend my time with simple, self-respecting guys (I'm a country girl and I like country guys). Money, clothes, nor cars impress me. What's in a man's heart is more important than what he can buy me. A guy must be respectful and honest, be able to hold a decent conversation, and be working toward his goals in life. If the guy can cook, then that's a definite plus. Finally, a guy must not be afraid to be a MAN. Nothing disgusts me more than a male who doesn't have the courage to face his faults and responsibilities. If a man is married, separated (you're still married), or in a relationship, then I feel he should not have anything to say to me or any other female for that matter. What I'm saying is that you have to be over one relationship before you move on to the next. If you fall into any of those categories (be honest with yourself), then don't bother sending me messages.
