As I sit here mired in tears
I look upward and ask
Where is mine
My true love for the ages
Have I not endured enough
Enough of the ones who
Showed me great intentions
Called themselves my divine intervention
It was just another lie
Sent out their best representative
To meet and greet me
Hugs and kisses galore
Always leaving me wanting more
Believing, pinching me

Or even likable
