I was born a nurturer, knew I wanted to be a nurse (just like Mommy) @ 5 yrs old. I'm a cuddler, one who wants her man comfortable, warm, head rubbed, well fed. My home is a haven, a place where one will feel relaxed as soon as the threshold is crossed, a place that can be quiet, introspective, or loud w/ bid whist players gettin' dozed (perhaps one should leave one's feelings @ the door). I am a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc., Omicron Chi Chapter, an International Black Nurses' Sorority and as of June '07, am currently the Basileus (president) of our Chapter. My guy will enjoy traveling to sorority functions (in '03, our Boule' was held in Las Vegas...) and to symphonic concerts as I am also a 10 yr member of Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus and 3 yr member of CSO Gospel Choir. I enjoy cultural outings, Moja, Spoleto, museums, plays, Ghost Walks and the Lowcountry is a Mecca for culture. I love a well delivered joke, fireworks, a spicy blue crab, a salty, sweet roasted oyster, (ok, really good food, but I be cookin'!) contemporary African and African American art, oh, and a parade! I also like fashion. Clothes don't necessarily "make the man" but I like a man who can put it together, and if he's challenged in that area, I can help! I did some plus sized modeling (runway, trunk shows and shoots) and I enjoy makeup artistry. There was a moment in college that I decided communications and theatre would be more fun than nursing, so of course I spent some time on stage, even more time behind the scenes, hence my love of makeup, good lighting and props. Must have the right props! I am an only child, my father is up North and we have moderate communication, but my mom's family is here and I'm very close to cousins, aunts, uncles. Family is very important to me and I am blessed w/ some special folks in my life. My man will hopefully enjoy a video game, cards, sports on TV, (I'd prefer to go in person- Go Panthers!) but he'll need some thick skin, cos my people can dish it out. They can take it, too, so don't hold back!
