Hello BP Family.  Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.  All of the experiences I have faced throughout my life - the good, the bad, and the ugly - has made me the strong, beautiful, faithful, funny, down-to-earth, encouraging, uplifting, family-oriented Christian black woman I am today.  I currently work as a mortgage loan officer in the Houston market.  I love my job and I am always looking to network with like-minded people.

As short as I am, I love to play basketball.  I am not the best, but I can do a little something something. I also like to workout, go to the movies, travel, and enjoy some quiet "me" time.  I love old school R&B music (as you can tell) and acapella Gospel music.  There is nothing more beautiful than "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;" (Eph 5:19).

In Hebrews 11:1  Faith is defined as "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen".  A lot of us say we have faith, but do we really?  What do we have faith in? Do we really put faith in God? Do we really put faith in his Word? Do we really put faith in ourselves? Do we really put faith in pursuing our goals and dreams? Do we really put faith in finding true love or just loving the ones that are true to us?

Heb 11:6 ..."without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him".

Have faith.  Real faith.  Trust in God.  Love Him.
Cherish Him. Give Him the Glory.

My faith in God and myself will:
  • Allow me to prosper in all I do
  • Help me to make wiser decisions
  • Bring positive people in my life to encourage and motivate me
  • Bring real love in and take "counterfeit" love away
  • Put a smile on my face in the midst of a storm
  • Allow me to reach my goals and dreams (I dream big..lol)
  • Allow me to love myself...Love others
  • Allow me to be a light in darkness for people who want to see

What will your faith allow you to do?

2 truths and a lie

Two of these are true about me. No joke. Which one's the lie? Take a guess...

INVESTIGATE THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF

Posted

In today's society, their are so many opinions on what is right and what is wrong regarding the Bible. We have to put on the armour of Christ to shield us from wrong and misleading doctrine. In your quest of finding truth - Always refer back to the Bible. Someone gave me this phrase years ago and it has stuck with me every since - "Don't give me lip -- give me script". What we get from the Bible should not be based on our personal feelings and interpretations. The feelings and... (continue reading)

CAN WE ALL SPEAK THE SAME THING

Posted

1 Cor 1:10-13 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and the same judgment. 11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the same house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of... (continue reading)

A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION

Posted

A weary traveler as he was headed for home one night, stumbled across a cemetery. Naturally he began to notice the writing on the head stones. One particular head stone caused him to stop and reflect upon the poem engraved on it.

Stop my friend as you pass by,

As you are, so once was I.

As I am now soon you will be,

So come on friend and follow me.
