A LITTLE GAMMA RHO HISTORY: THE GAMMA RHO CHAPTER OF PHI BETA SIGMA FRATERNITY INCORPORATED WAS BROUGHT INTO THE LIGHT ON THE CAMPUS OF ELIZABETH CITY STATE UNIVERSITY ON MARCH 25,1961. THE BIRTH OF THE GAMMA RHO CHAPTER WAS DUE IN PART OF TWO VISIONARY YOUNG MEN. BROTHER: DAVID P. JAMES BROTHER: GEORGE JORDAN THE CHARTER BROTHERS WERE DETERMINED TO ESTABLISH A FRATERNITY THAT WAS RESPONSIVE TO THE MANY NEEDS OF THE LOCAL AND COLLEGE COMMUNITY WHILE STRESSING THE VALUES OF BROTHERHOOD AMONG AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN, SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNG ALL STUDENTS, AND SERVICE FOR ALL
