7/13/04 Hmmm....well people, here it is....my 40th birthday. I don`t look any different (give or take the occasional gray hair...ok, and slightly thicker too), I don`t feel any different (hmmm...I`m lying about that too...everyday I discover a new ache and/or pain. Sixteen years of firefighting can take it`s toll on you. I long for the days when I was a white collar worker, but there`s no job security in that now, is there?). However I am glad to make it this far in my journey. Thank you to all the friends, associates and confidants who have supported me personally and professionally throughout the years. To any man who has ever hated on me, let all your baby mommas be at the club on the same night when you are behind on support payments and trying to get your trick on. To any woman who felt that I did not treat them right during a relationship, take a moment to confess what part you played in the breakdown and after we both take responsibility for our actions I`ll apologize. To any woman who called herself playing me, it easier for me to leave you than beat you. That`s just the way I was raised. The next brother may not be so kind and he may possess that recessive Ike Turner gene and beat the @#$t out of you. Give it some thought, then go finish your education and become truly independent. Looks don`t last forever...This is another cool thing about turning forty. You can just exorcise all your demons in a public forum and not care....lol. The rest of the page is pretty much true except for my music artists. I`m still feeling them but the music has been out for a minute. Let me see...what else? Oh yeah, my passion, music. The current list of artists dgreen7 is currently feeling: Number 1 CD most likely to get worn out in a short amount of time is definitely Dwele`s "Subject" - don`t sleep. An added bonus is he`s from Detroit. Other artists include: Conya Doss, Kindred, Kem, Floetry, Heather Headley, Vivian Green, Little Brother, Norah Jones, Donnie, Christian McBride, Roy Hargrove, Ms. Dynamite, and Soulive. I`ll update the list as I think of more music. I am singlehandedly on a mission to bring back grown folk`s music.

For those I have already met, what`s up. To all others... read on. I`m a 38 year old gentleman from Michigan. Father of two, with Kinra, my daughter (bottom pic), being my promise and Koran, my son (middle pic), is my gift. Most definitely a Flintstone, with the MI being my adopted home. Philly-born, NY-bred, so much luv to the east. Same to all my fam in Chicago, ATL, LA, Indy, Detroit. I`m very spiritual, and my interests vary, but I do love conversation with intelligent people. (Especially women. They seem to be more receptive to different points of view...go figure...) I have a great passion for music. From old school to old jazz and everything in between. There are a lot of new artists I`m feeling. As a people we have to cease being so closed minded when it comes to music. We created most of these art forms and then we deny them if they are "different". Stop, please. Ifyou are good enough to view and appreciate my page, then I`mgood enough to add as a friend.(And don`t forget to sign my guestbook).
