Telling stories is what I live for. However my stories and vision means nothing, if their not supported by it`s target group. If we can pay money to see big budget movies that we can`t relate to, why can`t we pay for movies that we can relate to and probably be entertained with a better story. Derrick "D Jarell" Jones started his film/video production career in Milwaukee, Wi. D Jarell was a community producer at the Milwaukee Area Telecommunications Authority (M.A.T.A) in 1995. He soon began to write screenplays and decided that he wanted to direct films. He moved to Orlando, FL in 1997; where he recieved his degree in the Film and Video from Florida Metropolitian University. After completing his degree he went on to attend the famous Hollywood Film Institute Producers Workshop. After co-directing and urban documentary, P.S.A for Planned Parent Hood (School Project) and directing the premiere video for an indie lable (Monsta Phat Productions) recording artist Agent, he began to glen his knowledge and prepare for a future for a film and video production and screenwriting. In 2001 D Jarell had the pleasure of directing the Digital Motion Piture Short;BusJack. D Jarell has several screenplays that he is constanly honing for possible productions in the near future. D Jarell is President and CEO of LaCole Rae Filmworks and founder of African-American and Independent Filmmakers Support Society (AAIFSS). &
