EXPERIENCE ME....STAY FOR THE WHOLE SHOW

About me:
I'm a non traditional thinker who enjoys meeting people who are intelligent, articulate, open-minded, and polite. If you are this type of person I would be honored to make your acquaintance. I enjoy meaningful relationships, and enjoying life with the people who I love. So if you think you would like to get to know me better than feel free to send me a message. My father named me JazzSmon, But the blood that covers me says that I'm royalty...

....CAPABLE Many of us grow up with the idea that mistakes are bad, linking our self-esteem to continued success. We become afraid of failure, so in order to achieve we tend to steer clear of areas that may lie outside the apparent realm of our natural talent. In this perverse equation, the secret to success becomes avoiding risk leaving much of our inherit ability untapped. In order to reach our full potential, we must accept and then transform anxiety and fear, into a relentless search for accurate information in our performance. What was once perceived as criticism now becomes a gift for constructive growth.

......ON MATURITY After a while you learn the difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul. And you learn that LOVE doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts, and presents aren't promises. And you begin to accept your defeats with head up and eyes open, with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child. And you learn to build all your roads on today, for tomorrows ground is too uncertain for plans. After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much. So you decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring flowers. And you learn that you really can endure...that you really are strong. And you really do have worth.

......Sign of the Times Lets go back to a time when the Isley brothers serenaded the people to join the caravan of love. A time when our men saw fit to band together in the name of our virtue. When Woodward and the Blvd, helped raise our kids instead of 106th and Park. When at 6pm everyday you knew where to find your families, and depending on the day of the week you knew what was for dinner, predictable wasn't a flaw it was a safety net. A time when children played basketball on pavement, instead of play-station. Come back with me, to a time when rated R meant a rock and roll soundtrack, not a raunchy sex fest. When little boys were thinking girls had cooodies rather than coochies. When girls were called sweetheart, and not Btches. Families spent time together, Mothers nurtured, Fathers lead, and Grandparents prayed. It wasn't surprising to hear a stranger speak to you. Life was simple. Summer was the smell of BBQ, lemonade made your life easy again. Now in an age of fast food, fast cars, and fast people, instant gratification is status quo, and we accept it like we've never known anything better.

I woke up feeling strange today, sometimes strange is good, but today strange was great. I had a certain sense of urgency, an awakening of sorts.Today was the first day I thought about my legacy.I thought about how I would like to be remembered, and even how i would like to be thought of now. I like to think of myself as bit of a word smith, I mean I definitely have the gift of gab, and an articulate way of conveying my messages, sometimes I get on my soap box, with an insatiable need to be heard. So today a word kept popping up, I saw this word in my head before I opened my eyes this morning. I heard this word on a reality show (go figure). I heard this word on talk radio today. Finally I said it to my self., PHILANTHROPY. I was in my car alone when I said it, and I have to admit I said it 3 more times,I loved the way it sounded. Its sounds righteous. It sounds how good love might sound, or like the first time your kids says 'momma', I mean, I was beside myself, and that's when it hit me. I want to be a Philanthropist. I want Philanthropy to be my legacy, I want to be associated with Philanthropic organizations. (and yeah I went over the different variations of the word in my head, and I loved them too) The origin of Philanthropy is: The love of mankind. Isn't that the most brilliant thing you've ever heard? The simplicity of it, is what astounds me. Let us all begin again. Let us finish this year and start the next, with a renewed respect for the human condition.......imagine that.
