a poem I wrote entitled If God is God
this is dedicated to my dear mother

If our God is God
Let us praise him with our voice
Let us worship him with our hearts
Let our whole being create music to beat on God's ear drum
Sing unto God if God is God
Sing unified to uncoil double knots tied in the Souls of men in carvernous habitats
Sing the light back into burnt out street lamps
Sing life back into the glass choked pedestrians
Revive life like it's the only thing to do
Sing a song that's never been sung
Notate the rhythms,
Notate the notes,
Notate it on the walls of your home
on the walls of your schools,
on the walls of your workplaces
Sing the wax back onto dripping candles handled by hopeless sleepers
Reform shiftless energy to sing our souls into tune
Awake the dreamers who sleep and do not take part in the Revolution
Sing through the accidentals of life when tears carry buckets,
When our feet wade in muddy water
Sing, Sing, Sing
We must sing
Let us sing no matter are circumstances
For if God is God our current circumstances do not matter
He can sustain the withered man in famine, in drought
He can sustain when there is no life
He deserves our greatest harmony
Our greatest song
If our God is God
Let us Praise him with our voice
Let us worship him with our hands
Let our whole being create music to beat on God's ear drum
Sing unto God if God has set you free
Sing freedom's song like only an ex slave can
Sing with the mighty wind of a thousand eagles
Sing like you just found out somebody loves you and you know you'll never again
be strangled by rusty chains
and NEVER AGAIN will you be property of an evil master
Sing purity and righteousness
Sing gratitude
If our God is God
Let us Praise him with our voice
Let us worship him with our hands
