personal messageWho the Hell is this Dude
named Draus?
Who is Draus? Homie, I'm a lot of things. A musician, a father, a soldier, a loyal friend. I'm a Taurus (stubborn and one-track minded), but I go through phases. Sometimes I'm a wild loc'ed out smoked out drunk thug. Sometimes, I'm a disciplined, focused work-a-holic with my face in the books. Sometimes I'm a faithful and devoted, one-woman man. Sometimes I'm a fresh to def dog that hits it once and never calls back. Sometimes, I'm chill sippin on a drink at the bar. Sometimes I'm on the dancefloor freakin a chick to get some take home. Sometimes I'll walk away from a fight. Sometimes I'll come to wherever you are and fight you. Sometimes I'm Batman, sometimes I'm the Joker. Sometimes, I'm the hero, sometimes I'm the villain. At the end of the day, it really just depends on who you are to me, and if I'm sippin brown or white liquor. As far as this music is concerned, it just comes naturally. I make most of my own beats, and I make beats for a LOT of other rappers and singers. I even record most of my own music and mix ALL of it. I believe that if you want something done right, you do it yourself, or pay the professional. If I don't pay a pro, that means I AM THE PRO. I'm the dude people go to to get their %#&@$! done RIGHT I try to make music that's hard, but realistic. I do dirt, but I also do a lot of good. For me to just talk about the dirt is only givin' you half the story. I tell the whole truth (at least MY whole story).

For those who love good music. We talkin about that RAW shyt. We talkin about that REAL shyt. PEOPLE, THERE IS GOOD MUSIC OUT HERE Music. Rap Music. Nowadays, EVERYBODY IS A RAPPER? Everybody wants to make beats. Every chick is a singer!!! I know how it is y'all, a lot of music SUCKS, and sometimes you just want to hear something NEW. Something GOOD. Something DIFFERENT. Something that relates to you. YOU don't want to hear rappers whining and complainin' about the "Music Industry", and YOU don't want to hear ballers braggin about how rich YOU made them. The hardcore %#&@$! is all good, but it pushes reality when they are talkin about killin everybody, but yet, they're really on tour, and aint killin jack-shyt. Party-Rap is good, but YOU can't ride to that shyt. Hip Hop is great, but sometimes it's so deep that YOU can't relate. Anyway, who wants to hear people rapping about rap? Singers don't sing about singing, DO THEY? Piracy (downloading) makes music real easy to get, and that's cool. Major Label Artists are still making their money so they won't complain. It's kind of messes up the Independent Scene being that music is so easy to get, that people don't look forward to new music like we used to. We used to get excited about RAW, REAL music. Now, it's so watered-down and it's a dime a dozen. Also, a lot of rappers/singers just suck, but radio and TV has lowered the standard because they'll play anything with a budget that looks good. You can't depend on the radio and TV to tell you EVERYTHING that's good. A lot of people NEVER TRIED to get a record deal. We took all of our money and invested in our own studios, and duplication so we can get it straight to you. There is good music on the radio, but there's WAY more music to choose from off the radio. You just gotta listen and decide for yourself what's good and what's bad. Don't let the radio and TV think for you. Be your own person. Listen to some independent rappers and singers like... * Kingpin Slim * Oy Boyz * Text Sosa * Porche 911 * Gina Rose * Multiple Man * Laelo Hood * Mr. Whitefolkz * 20Bello * Marcus G * UNVA * Maria J * Hiway Hov All these artists have projects out and available for purchase. A lot of them will give you free downloads.

"Hey Draus!!! I like what I hear homie. Where can I get your music?
![]() I got two CDs for sale online right now. Both are less than $10, and both have more than 15 tracks on it. 17 Tracks of raw Draus music and crystal clear quality. In other words, THIS CD SOUNDS DAMN GOOD. Bangin' beats and hardcore (but intelligent) lyrics. The production is off the hook, with beats from underground producers Draus, Knoxx Famous, Nice Beats, and Big JayB. Features guest appearances from Laelo Hood, Multiple Man and Q'Darrange (from Draus's group Wasteland). The anthem of this album is simple: Survive and have fun by any means necessary. Sometimes, you gotta cheat to get ahead. Sometimes you gotta hustle to survive. Sometimes, we need a lil somethin extra to get the edge off. Drink, smoke, %#&@$!, fight, fantasize, pop a pill, or go to school, go to work, raise your children. Whatever you do, do it right, and have fun doin it. Enjoy life! Kick %#&@$! and take names! Just stay outta my way!!! This album CRANKS, and so far, everyone who bought it was satisfied. Listen to it once, and that's all it takes to grab you. You won't take it out your CD player. Great Songs, with a Great Arrangement. Done professionally so it sounds good when you listen to it on any CD player. This album is a must have for your collection. Track Listing

No Warning Shots This album was meant to be a compilation but turned out to be "something else". I don't really know what to call it. A mixtape? A compilation? It came out being more like my album with a lot of features and collabos. Either way, it has HARD production and good lyrics. The beats bang hard and a lot of folks came through to make bangers with me. A lot of these songs will last forever because of the topics. This joint is HARD, but still has some mellow spots. Nice Beats came through to lend us a track, along with my man K-Dot from Woodbridge. Me and Summer C jacked a beat and spit some FIYAH on "Fooled U". Laelo Hood came through and dropped a couple classic gangsta joints on us. For people who like hardcore lyricists, this CD will grow on you. This also marks the official beginning of Wasteland with Q'Darrange jumpin in a few joints to make soldier anthems like "Missions, and "Hard in this Game". If you want to get up on your Draus History and get your collection right, you gotta get this album. Track

recent blog postsMy Favorite Collaborations and Productions (By Me of course)Posted December 27th, 2007 at 09:27pm
I worked with a lot of artists inside and outside the DMV, and I'm trying to figure out what my favorite collaboration was. A LOT of these joints was crankin, and some of them was just forgotten. Some was while I had the studio in my Mother's Basement, some were when I had the townhouse in Ashburn. Some were at the apartment in Maryland. Some were at other producers' studios. All in all, I have a lot of fun doin this shit, and some of these...
