personal message

I'm on a mission, and my mission has to do with you! I grew up on
the streets of Chicago and like a large number of inner-city
African American males; I was raised by a single mom. Never having
met my father, my youth was spent in turmoil and trouble, but I
managed to get a GED, 15 semesters of junior college and joined the
U.S. Army. After getting out of the Army with a viable skill, I
found that no one was interested in hiring me. After a couple of
years of job turn-downs I met with a very fortunate occurrence
which landed me a job as a computer technician. I fell in love with
the technology industry, and my knowledge and skill exploded taking
me from $12 an hour to $45 an hour in just 3 years. While I was
doing quite well for the first time in my life, I had many friends,
brothers and sisters I went to church with, friends in my
neighborhood male and female that were struggling to get a decent
wage in dead end jobs. I decided that it was my responsibility to
help whomever I could. So in the kitchen of my home, 2 people at a
time I taught anyone that was interested, about computers and
networking. No charge. I was on a mission! My first 2 students
didn't finish the course, but that didn't discourage me. I started
looking for a place to host a class of 20 students or more
anticipating that interest would grow. Long story short; I got a
place, for the same price I was charging my students, $0, nothing!
That was in Zion, Il in 1997, 3 years later I opened a school in
Atlanta, GA, The Career Institute of Technology Innovation, signing
up 60 students per month, with gross sells of over $120,000 per
month. Today I am CEO of Citi Business Group, LLC a small business
consulting firm. So what is my mission? I am freeing myself, my
wife, and our children, buying our freedom, little by little and
bit by bit, by creating income through my creativity that is
eliminating us from the need to spend our days, and nights working
for someone else just to pay the bills. We live a sensible life, no
Bentleys in the drive way (my favorite auto), no million dollar
mansion, (I prefer being the millionaire next door), and I also
prefer our money to grow, so that I can continue to purchase the
freedom of generations to come. That brings me to you, just as I
was compelled to help my friends, brothers and sisters, and
whomsoever would come, long ago.... I want to share my plans,
ideas, and how-to's with you, so that you too can free yourself,
buy your freedom from the corporate master, the thief of time! Stay
in tune with my blogs here at my space, and listen to my podcast on
my site, which will begin in September 2007.
http://www.citibusinessgroup.c om I have a book debuting in August
of 2007, "Starting Your Business the Write Way", I will be selling
the first 100 copies for $10.00, followed by a series of free
seminars, and webinars to help you use the concepts in the book.

In Pursuit of Relief Part II

The next morning we got up very early, around 4:00 am. We got the kids up, there was running heated water, and got them ready for school. We made breakfast, packed all of our belongings, cleaned up everything we used, so as to not leave at race of our being there and left to drop the kids off at school. The church that put us up for the previous weekend also paid for a self storage space for us. The truck was still parked in front of the house we were evicted from, and we were still not sure of... In Pursuit of Relief - Part I

I remember it like it was yesterday, I woke to a strange sound like someone was knocking with a tool of some sort out side of the house. My wife was gone running errands that morning, so I knew it wasn't her. All of a sudden, the electricity came on, that's when I knew that it was either an angle, or this means trouble. Our electricity had been off for more than a month, our propane was out, and the water had been off for about 3 weeks. I would get up every morning around 4:00 am armed... (continue reading)
