I can't recall if I ever had a desire to meet the standards you'd set for "her"
but the reality at this stage in life
is that the "her" you seek may not be found in me
my overall being was manifested after a life already full of many tales and adventures
no one can deny my experiences
to say "Ms. Independent" would be too cliche
rather, I'm simply a woman who's lived life
and managed to endure
inspite of many pit-falls
and the outcome is that I'm stronger than I even realized
yet I still have weaknesses
"he" has always been my vulnerability
now more than ever
at a time where loyality is no longer included in most people's moral vocabulary
and trust seems to be vanishing
my inner most desires are for more
but not at the sake of losing me
I've been on the brink many times
and although lacking in fun
it's full of learning lessons
which i'm continuing to apply
i'm grateful for another chance to get it right

there was nothing better than the sauce
so savory sweet
bordering spicy, yet still mild enough to not burn the tongue
I delighted in this experience
but I also knew how to share
it was simply at your request
how ever you wanted it....
broiled with the meat
smothered on the meat
or marinated with the meat
no need for side dishes
the main course always satisfies Mama perfectly!

desiring to recapture so much
however, I'm strong enough to let many things go
life has so many promised struggles
and time moves fast in hindsight
i'm grateful for wisdom
inspite of fears and self-limitations
my eyes see beyond immediate surroundings
and I still believe in possibilities

EAT_APPLESAUCE...What does it mean?

Intially, I wanted to simply use APPLESAUCE as my page name, because it sounded cute. But it was already taken.
So the FREAK in me decided to add the prefix "EAT_".

But, had I given it a little more thought, I probably would've chosen something else.
I realize now that i'm not the SEXY VIXEN type of female; I am the CUTIE from Next Door type...And I embrace that!
God created someone special on October 24...ME
