Life is GREAT!

Wow! I've been away from my page for quite a while. Life took over but I am now reclaiming my time. Things have been busy and hectic but at least I can once again say that I really enjoy my job! I spent a lot of last year hating getting up and going to work Monday through Friday, but I took a chance and made a positive change. Okay, the movie isn't even out and I already see a major plot flaw in the trailer! What black man in his right mind is going to agree to tie a rope around his waist and walk out into this unknown "mist" for a bunch of white folks? Andre Braugher is an excellent actor but this role choice was a stupid move. Instead, some unknown actor would have been a better (and cheaper) choice. Crazy things have been happening...

I don't think I quite understand it, but last week was the strangest week I have ever experienced. First, daylight savings not happening threw me off - my clocks that update automatically changed in the morning so I ended up an hour late to work, but by the afternoon the changed back to the right time so I ended up missing a meeting in the evening because I wasn't sure what time it really was. Hello World! Life is beautiful, don`t miss out!

I am very happily married with two amazing girls. I'm also working full-time and going to school full-time at Ashford University online. The classes are challenging but it's all worth it. The education you get will be a product of all the effort you put into it - remember that because the same goes for life in general.

Sometimes I feel sorry for my husband having to deal with all us ladies in the house, but then I realize just how good he's got it. Just kidding, if I could I would have a rack of kids of but that just isn't in the cards. Adoption is always an option and we may explore that in more detail.

Another thing folks - we have to start taking care of our bodies and souls! We are killing ourselves with all the fat and chemicals we put into our bodies. I have teamed up with my sister and we are living the raw life - and it's really good. It's a slow start for me but I'm up for the change, luckily I have my husband on my side. The whole idea is to eat really fresh foods (fruits, nuts, and veggies) without cooking and killing off all the good, healthy nutrients. It's also wise to do a total system cleanse - I won't go into details, but basically clean your system out OFTEN!

I'd like to hear from folks in the Government Contracting field as well. It's always good to have a network in case someone is between jobs. I'm in Fairfax, VA working for CACI. If I can help, let me know.
