NUB (pronounced noo-b) Clothing Company Founder and CEO Lynell Ellis is a man to keep your eye on. He is coming on the fashion seen in full force as the designer with meaning behind the name. NUB which stands for "New You Beginnings" is exactly what Lynell wants to show the world, "it's time for a change...a new you beginning"! Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Lynell is one of two children born to Virginia Ellis-Bradley. Lynell attended Steinmetz High School in Chicago. He moved to Memphis shortly after graduation and attended the University of Memphis studying in business. Lynell was inspired many years ago by some of the other clothing designers such as FUBU and Ecko, his motto is "if they can do it then I know I can do it" He felt there was a need for urban fashion with meaning, there was a need for change, positive change and he was just the one to make it happen so he got serious. He began his research and in 2002 NUB Clothing company was formed. NUB became a registered trademark in 2005. Working alone; he began with hats then later moving to tee shirts, which is now the foundation of his business. As the company grows NUB plans to expand the clothing line. He is a proud member of several organizations such as the Mason's and Shriners. In his spare time he enjoys reading, music and sports. Lynell has already been featured in several publications such as ODS Magazine, First Cuts Newspaper, Jewelz Magazine and a live radio interview's with WCRG in Chicago and WMQM in Memphis. Lynell has been featured on "Good Morning Memphis" FOX-13-TV, he is also being featured in The Tri-State Defender Newspaper in Memphis and later this month featured in Crunk Magazine. Most recently Lynell is being featured on WMC-TV Channel 5 weekend show with host Anna Marie Hartman.
